Blue Ridge Native Earns Doctorate in Pharmacy
Dr. Dowd attended Mt. View Elementary School in northern Greenville County, Blue Ridge Middle School and graduated from Blue Ridge High School. Her parents note that she was blessed with excellent teachers, who encouraged her to excel in academics as well as sports. Born to parents with roots in New York, Megan became a serious student of South Carolina History and Southern Heritage. While a student at the University of South Carolina and the South Carolina College of Pharmacy, she worked as a page for three years in the South Carolina House and Senate for The Honorable Lewis Vaughn. She is currently employed at Lexington Medical Center in Columbia as a Pharmacy Technician awaiting her licensing exam. She plans to continue to do clinical work in a hospital.
