Resolution Honors Senator DeMint PDF Print E-mail
Written by Bob Dill

The Greenville County Republican Party Executive Committee voted unanimously Monday night to extend their “heartfelt appreciation, thanks, and support to Senator Jim DeMint.”

The resolution states that “Senator Jim DeMint has consistently voted South Carolina values in the United States Senate and been recognized by countless conservative organizations and publications for his leadership, earning rankings of 100 percent from National Right to Life, the American Conservative Union, Eagle Forum, Club for Growth, and Family Research Council, and being named as the most conservative senator by Human Events and the National Journal;

“Senator DeMint has stood firm against illegal immigration and amnesty and for protecting our borders;

“Senator DeMint has been a strong and consistent voice for the unborn who are unable to speak for themselves;

“Senator DeMint has been a friend of the taxpayer in his efforts to vote against pork and earmarks and being called ‘the taxpayers’ great ally’ by the Wall Street Journal and being praised by the Club of Growth.”

The resolution further commends Sen. DeMint for leading the fight in the US Senate to stop the Law of the Sea Treaty.
