God’s In Control PDF Print E-mail

Well, we have just had our primary elections here in South Carolina. And if you are a conservative Republican who is against open borders and mass illegal immigration, you may feel disappointed by the outcome. But I wasn’t. To me it was just one more sign that the Biblical one-world prophecy may be coming true, that these are the end times--and that Jesus may be coming soon!

For the first time in more than 1500 years nations of the Roman Empire have become a united dominion.

For the first time in almost two thousand years the Jews are united and have their Holy Land back. For the first time since the Babylon tower fell and God separated mankind by different languages, the whole world is united in a superpower organization where one language is known to all delegates. And now the American nations are uniting too. Whoever becomes our next president will probably complete the deal.

The world is all set up for the Anti-Christ to take over. See Revelation 13.

For the first time in history the prophecies in Revelation are possible. Through satellite television, people all over the world will be able to see the dead bodies of the two prophets God will send lying dead in Jerusalem for three days. See Revelation 11:3-12.  Modern day electronics and communications will make it possible for the predicted Antichrist to declare that all those on earth who don’t take his mark (666) on their hand or forehead and worship him will be killed. See Revelation 13.

HOW GOD SET THE WORLD UP FOR HIS SON’S SACRIFICE FOR SINNERS

Consider how God worked things together to bring to pass the sacrifice of His Son Jesus Christ for our sins. Jesus chose Judas, whom he knew to be a traiter and thief, to be one of his twelve disciples. And Judas sold Jesus out for 30 pieces of silver. Before dawn Jesus was dragged before the high priest Caiaphas and other religious authorities. The high priest conducted the trial of Jesus wherein the word of two liars was accepted as testimony against Jesus that He had blasphemed.

Rome had control of the holy land, and their cruel method of crucifixion for various people they deemed lawbreakers was how the death penalty was carried out. First, Jesus had been beaten by orders of King Herod. Then he was taken to be crucified by Roman soldiers who nailed His hands and feet to a wooden cross. Then He hung there and was jeered at by religious leaders and others. Then He died. To make sure that Jesus was dead, a Roman soldier plunged his sword into Jesus’ side—and the blood flowed out.

The prophet Isaiah foretold 600 years before these customs came into being: “He was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed” (Isaiah 53:5).

On the third day after that, Jesus Christ rose from the grave. The Bible says that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures…he was buried and raised on the third day according to the Scriptures…and appeared to His close followers. After that, he appeared to more than five hundred of his followers at the same time. See First Corinthians 15:3-6.

So fellow Christians, please don’t be dismayed by anything that happens in the politics of our nation,or of our world, for that matter. According to God’s Word, nothing can happen without God’s hand on it. When Jesus stood before the Roman governor Pontius Pilot, he told him, “You would have no power over me if it were not given to you from above” (John 19:11). And Romans 13:1 says, “There is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.”

John Greenleaf Whittier wrote, “So darkness in the pathway of man’s life is but the shadow of God’s providence.”  So rejoice—and trust in the Lord!
