China Construction is the largest conglomerate building enterprise in the Peoples Republic of China. This is the same company from Communist China that was given a contract to renovate and expand Blue Ridge High School by Institutional Resources, the company selected by the Green-ville County School Board to run their billion dollar construction program. The project was very poorly handled and resulted in parents very upset at the school.
China Construction America is a part of China State Construction Engineering Corporation that has total assets of 8.5 billion dollars according to the company’s web page.
The Chinese are handling construction projects for Sheraton, Hyatt, Bayer, Disney, Motorola, Hines, Holiday Inn, and other US companies, and have ongoing construction projects in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Middletown and Orange County, New York; Los Angeles, California; Jacksonville and Vero Beach, Florida; Chicago, Illinois; Camden, South Carolina; Houston, Texas; and Washington, DC.
Since the 1980s China State Construction Engineering Corporation has been successfully expanding their construction expertise in the United States in competition with American companies.
