The Greenville County Republican Party Executive Committee stopped short of calling for the Impeachment of Attorney General Eric Holder during their Monday night meeting. A member of the committee from Travelers Rest was prepared to present a resolution for a vote by the committee, but suspended his intended proposal until after the congressional hearing, testimony by Holder, and action by the Congressional committee scheduled for Thursday, at the request of the county chairman and Fourth Congressional District staff. The committee will be asking Holder about his previous alleged false testimony regarding his involvement or lack of involvement in operation “Fast and Furious” that provided guns to Mexican drug cartels that were involved in the death of at least one US agent. An informal show of hands indicated that the Executive Committee is inclined to support a resolution calling on the South Carolina Congressional Delegation to pursue the impeachment of Holder. |
