"Do Democrats even care?" It's a fair question -- and the editors at the Wall Street Journal aren't the only ones asking it. Here we are, in the middle of one of the greatest crises in American history, and Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) swooped into town to demand new curtains for the Kennedy Center. The $35 million for the performing arts hub is just one of the shockers in the House's 1,100-page virus relief counterproposal, which proves there will never be a shortage of one thing in D.C. -- pork peddlers.
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Pregnancy Resource Centers (PRCs) across the nation face obstacles as they continue working to reach clients during the COVID-19 outbreak.
"Keeping PRCs open and reaching clients is of upmost importance during this crisis," said Chief Communications Officer Diane Ferraro. "It is more important than ever for clinics that provide free resources to reach abortion-vulnerable women in these uncertain times."

Overnight our world has changed! The threat is real. The fear of the Coronavirus Pandemic has caused the government to unjustifiably use a heavy hand to force us to change our behaviors and infringe on our God given, constitutionally protected Liberty. Force creates fear, non-productive behavior, and economic chaos. This is not the time for fear, but for clear-headed thought through faith in God, our spiritual leaders, rational government leadership at all levels, and our capacity to unite and work together. Anne Schlafly Cori, Chairman of National Eagle Forum and daughter of founder, Phyllis Schlafly, wisely said, “In previous pandemics, the sick were isolated. In this pandemic, every single person is isolated.” Stay-at-home orders are already a fact in more than a fourth of the states and may soon be ordered in all states.

Tigerville, SC – The North Greenville University (NGU) COVID-19 Response Team, in cooperation with senior leadership, implemented a 15-day modified operation plan effective Wednesday, March 18. This plan aligns with the White House 15-day plan released yesterday.
NGU’s mission has always been to graduate transformational leaders for church and society. The University desires to demonstrate the same leadership to its community in this time of crisis and uncertainty being a model for graduates to follow.
Dr. Ben Carper announces his candidacy today for Greenville County Council District 25. He officially filed to run against the Democrat incumbent, Ennis Fant, in the Westside District.
With Greenville County experiencing a thriving business atmosphere, Carper believes that his presence on council would be conducive to opening up the Westside to join in on that business growth and would help to improve its status within the county.
There's hardly a busier, more burdened man in America right now than President Trump. And yet on Friday, when he heard that Vice President Mike Pence was about to jump on an FRC conference call with 700 pastors, he asked if he could join. Hearing his voice was a surprise, even to me -- but hearing his earnest desire to stand with the faith leaders of America in crisis certainly wasn't.
"When I told the president I was going to be speaking to all of you," Mike explained, "[he was] in the midst of an extraordinarily busy day. [But] he looked at me and said, 'I have to find time. I need to find time.'" To the president, he went on, "the prayers of the people on this call mean [everything] to him..." So despite everything facing America, the two most important leaders of this nation stopped everything to pray with the people on the ground, who are ministering to their communities.
"We cannot let the cure be worse than the problem itself," tweeted the president on Sunday night, adding that, after the current 15-day shutdown, "we will make a decision as to which way we want to go."
President Trump is said to be privately expressing a deepening concern at the damage the coronavirus shutdown is doing to the U.S. economy and debating whether it can be safely reopened.
Though castigated for his remark, Trump has a point.

By the November1862 elections, many in the North had been demoralized by Confederate victories in the field, and pro-States Rights Northern Democrats made substantial political gains in six Northern states. This was followed by the humiliating defeat of Union forces by Confederate troops at Fredericksburg, Virginia, ending on December 15. A second humiliating defeat occurred at Chancellorsville in Virginia, ending on May 6 1863, in which Stonewall Jackson and Robert E. Lee routed Union forces under Joe Hooker. Many Republicans felt that the success of Union war policies and efforts were threatened by these political and military reverses. As a response, Union Clubs were formed in almost every town to support the war, the troops, and the Republican Party. These became the Union League of America.
Some of the following words are mine—but the original thoughts are not. ALL of these concepts and words of wisdom belonged originally to others who pondered Freedom’s Principles before me—in some cases hundreds or thousands of years before. That’s what makes them so unique, for no matter how “old” these ideas are, they never truly age, because “principles” that can assure—and have done so for centuries—the survival of human liberty are eternal.
A recent report by Chris Stewart has shed new light on some of the educational problems faced by black youth. The report is titled "The Secret Shame: How America's Most Progressive Cities Betray Their Commitment to Educational Opportunity for All." Stewart is a self-described liberal and CEO of Brightbeam, a nonprofit network of education activists who want to hold progressive political leaders accountable.
As members of Congress debate the terms of the trillion-dollar-plus coronavirus relief package for businesses and individuals, they would do well to remember our recent history.
Most people in professional Washington hate the populist era we are going through. The populist period exists because Americans already feel like their elected officials are more responsive to large corporate interests than to the individuals who elected them. This played out big-time after the Wall Street bailouts fueled the tea party on the right and Occupy Wall Street on the left.
Democrats’ abortion agenda has never been clearer during the Coronavirus pandemic. While House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was supposedly crafting a bill to help Americans suffering from the effects of the Coronavirus, she allegedly lobbied for a new slush fund without the Hyde Amendment. The long-standing, bipartisan language has been included in fiscal bills to ensure taxpayer money is not being spent on abortions.
BOONE, N.C. -- Today, the Samaritan's Purse Emergency Field Hospital, specially equipped with a respiratory care unit, opened in Cremona, Italy. The 68-bed unit was airlifted to Italy on March 17 using the relief organization's DC-8 cargo plane to provide critical surge capacity to an overwhelmed hospital. The tent facility began receiving patients as soon as it opened so that staff could begin helping Italians with urgent medical needs.
America has faced great challenges in the past, and we have always gotten through them stronger than we were before. From the Civil War to the Great Depression to World War II, we have been through some horrific stuff. In the Civil War alone, we lost 750,000 people, or 2% of our population at the time. That would be 7 million deaths at our current population level. In World War II, we suffered another 405,000 deaths. Since World War II, we have faced many challenges, including wars and terrible tragedies like 9/11, but as far as the scale goes, we may be entering a period of hardship like none we have seen in decades.
Silver linings accompany most catastrophic events, and one major one with the coronavirus is the remarkable way Americans (and people throughout the world) have come together to fight this outbreak.
Though the stock market has reflected a nation in panic, in other respects Americans, for the most part, have reacted responsibly, unselfishly and cooperatively, and I pray we are making substantial progress toward flattening the growth curve of this virus.
"It's a war," says President Donald Trump of his efforts to contain the coronavirus pandemic, and likening his role to that of "wartime president."
New York Governor Andrew Cuomo welcomed the president's claim to his commander in chief role in the crisis and his resolve: "The president and I agreed yesterday... we're fighting the same war -- and this is a war."
Some measures already taken do call to mind actions in wartime.
If there were ever a time America should be grateful for its businessman-in-chief, it's now. The Left can say what it wants about Donald Trump, but the majority of people staring down this crisis have to take great comfort in the fact that the man at the helm was built to protect this economy. Even today, as the Senate dives into a third wave of relief, his expertise could very well make all the difference.
ORANGE COUNTY, Calif -- The world's largest religious television broadcaster, TBN, is helping churches survive the global Coronavirus pandemic by training pastors and leaders how to use Facebook Live as a platform for streaming services. Public health officials have warned against large gatherings such as church services to limit the spread of COVID-19, forcing congregations to either shut down or find a way to stream their weekly service. But recent research shows 41% of churches have never posted any portion of services online, leaving many now scrambling to adapt to quarantine culture.

Today, the Senate is expected to pass the second Corona supplemental, H.R. 6201, and the President invoked the Defense Production Act to mobilize the private sector to manufacture goods needed to combat the Coronavirus. There is also talk of another piece of legislation that would stimulate the economy, going so far as to provide certain Americans with government-funded income.
