Mark Cuban's Airball on Freedom
- By Tony Perkins - Family Research Council
You might be a Leftist if you lay awake at night brainstorming which cherished American tradition to sabotage next. Back in November, Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban suspended the playing of the national anthem before home games. Because stands sit empty due to coronavirus restrictions, nobody noticed until Tuesday.
There's no good reason why the "Star-Spangled Banner" should be controversial. Do people seriously wish they were British subjects instead? Do they resent that America is the "land of the free and the home of the brave?"
If Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene Is the Standard, What About Democrat 'Kingmaker' Rev. Al Sharpton?
- By Larry Elder
Because of offensive tweets posted by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., before she won office, House Democrats joined by 11 Republicans voted to strip her of her committee assignments.
If this is the new standard, can we apply this to the Rev. Al Sharpton, aka a Democratic "kingmaker," whose support was solicited by every major 2020 Democratic presidential candidate?
Demonizing White Christians
- By Bill Donohue - Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights
Much to the chagrin of the Christian left, they have never been able to gain traction. This accounts, at least in part, for their animus against conservative Christians, who, unlike those on the left, carry significant political and cultural weight. The most recent manifestation of the Christian left's hostility to conservative Christians is their invention of Christian nationalism.
It always helps to have a bogeyman. Christian nationalism was not discovered—it was created out of used cloth. Formerly known as the "Religious Right" or "Christocrats," today's bad guys are different in that they evince a strong racist edge. White people are the problem. To be more specific, it is white conservative Christians, many of whom are Trump supporters, who are an existential threat to our democracy.
NGU Welcomes New Leadership to Its Trustee Board
- By LaVerne Howell - NGU
North Greenville University (NGU) rings in the new year with new leadership on its governing body. The University's board of trustees begins 2021 with a new chair in Dr. Mike Hamlett, a new vice-chair in Mandie Boyd, and a new secretary in Shana Sands. The slate of new board members for the current term includes five new members who began their five-year terms on Jan. 1.
Legislative Delegations Again Exert Control Over Local Schools
- By Rick Brundrett - The Nerve
In another power move by county legislative delegations, a Spartanburg County lawmaker has proposed legislation that would establish base pay for members of a local school board.
It’s not the first time in recent years that a county delegation, made up House and Senate members representing that county, has inserted itself into local school board matters.
And delegations have exerted their control in other ways.
Maxine Waters, Racial Insurrectionist
- By Michelle Malkin
What a sick joke. Congresswoman Maxine Waters, one of the loudest mouths leading the impeachment circus against former President Donald Trump over the events at the Capitol on Jan. 6, is a brazen racial insurrectionist. The sixteen-term Democrat from South Central Los Angeles has been pouring verbal gasoline and tossing rhetorical Molotov cocktails into the public square since the 1992 L.A. riots.
Now she's the arbiter of civility and keeper of social order? LOL.
Former NGU President George Silver dies at 94
- By LaVerne Howell - NGU
Dr. George Silver, North Greenville University's (NGU) fourth president, died on January 29 in Goldsboro, NC, at 94. He served as North Greenville's president from 1975-1980.
"The entire North Greenville University community is saddened to learn of Dr. Silver's passing," said NGU President Dr. Gene C. Fant, Jr. "He had a remarkable career, making a positive impact on so many lives. We are forever grateful for his contributions and dedication to helping make our University the place it is today. NGU sends its deepest condolences to his family."
Opt out of Social Security for Racial Equity
- By Star Parker
A recent Reuters headline read, "Yellen, Rice tout economics as key to fixing American inequality."
According to Susan Rice, President Joe Biden's new domestic policy adviser, "The evidence is clear, investing in equity is good for economic growth."
Our new Treasury secretary, Janet Yellen, says, "I believe economic policy can be a potent tool to improve society. We can -- and should -- use it to address inequality, racism ..."
At Debt's Door with Biden's COVID Plan
- By Tony Perkins - Family Research Council
Joe Biden learned a lot of things under Barack Obama -- but reaching across the aisle wasn't one of them. That's become quite apparent in the last week, as the new president charges ahead with a controversial COVID relief package that almost no Republicans support. Aides say the new president is trying to "avoid the missteps of the Obama years" -- but he's already repeating one of the biggest: talking about bipartisanship, but refusing to practice it.
Of Rioters, Protesters & Patriots
- By Pat Buchanan
To Parliament, in the London of George III, the Boston Massacre of 1770 and the Tea Party of 1773 were not seen in the same light as they were by the Sons of Liberty in the Massachusetts colony.
To Parliament, this was mob violence, and the shooting and killing at Lexington and Concord were acts of insurrection and treason.
But because we won the Revolution, those events are portrayed and remembered differently. For when it comes to riots and revolutions, all depends on who writes the narrative of history. It is the winners.
End Big Tech Censorship on the Internet!
- By The John Birch Society
It is a fact beyond honest dispute that “Big Tech” is nearly, if not completely, synonymous with liberal. Big Tech has held both the internet and the web in a stranglehold for more than a decade and it is becoming increasingly worse over time. It has now grown increasingly blatant and politically-motivated, particularly against conservatives.

The Gag Act Seeks to Censure Conservatives
- By Eagle Forum
We are now about three weeks into the start of the Biden Administration. The President has been very active. Since February 3, 2021, President Biden signed 28 Executive Orders, four presidential proclamations, 10 presidential memoranda, and two letters. Now, it’s his liberal Congress’ turn to “act” on the left-wing agenda.
Restoring Election Integrity Begins With State Legislatures
- By Peter Rykowski - The New American
As Americans saw, the 2020 presidential election was beset with fraud and irregularities. Although it is too late to rectify the 2020 election, voter fraud remains a clear and existential threat to the Republic’s electoral system. Fortunately, there is much that state legislatures can do.
Both Article I, Section 4, and Article II, Section 1, of the United States Constitution give state legislatures primary authority over setting the rules for federal elections. The first step toward restoring confidence in American elections is for legislators to reclaim their constitutional power from judges and executive branch bureaucrats.
Amnesty’s Catastrophic Multiplier Effect
- By Mike Scruggs
The Road to One Party Tyrannical Rule and National Destruction
President Joe Biden, urged on by the radical leftist leadership of the Democrat Party in both Houses of Congress, a mainstream media subservient to leftist Democrat ideology and power, and globalist corporate elites wielding Orwellian oppressive power over American freedom of speech, plans to give 11 million illegal immigrants amnesty. Just as in the disastrous 1986 amnesty, the number of illegal immigrants now in the county is considerably and probably purposefully underestimated. According to FAIR (Federation for American Immigration Reform), there are at least 14.5 million illegal immigrants now in the United States, but some estimates range as high as 22 to 40 million of a U.S. total population of over 331 million. Of course, millions of additional illegal immigrants will soon be arriving in anticipation of an amnesty.
What Are They Smoken' On Capitol Hill?!
- By Frank Raddish - Founder/Director Capitol Hill Independent Baptist Ministries
Never before in American History have we had such notorious individuals in the White House, who are blatant Communists. The Democrats for the last several years have employed the scorched earth politics of destruction against conservatives. The most conservative president in our lifetime is Donald J. Trump, who continues to be under relentless political attacks from the Communists on Capitol Hill and the Marxist media mob. If they could accomplish it, they would have Trump imprisoned on a manufactured charge of treason. Do you honestly think for one minute that these political, Communist scumbags will treat we the people any different? The Republicans on Capitol Hill need to stop tiptoeing through the political tulips and take the war to the Democrats.
Are You Concerned Over Our Current “Dilemma”? – Part 2
- By W.H. Lamb
Last time we concluded that our current “dilemma” (at least one of them) is the decision that each of us makes as to whether or not to allow ourselves to be vaccinated with one of the Covid-19 vaccines which have been swiftly brought into use. It isn’t necessarily whether or not the current batch of Covid-19 vaccines may or may not have long term effects which are difficult, if not impossible, to predict at this point in time. From what I’ve read, the current C-19 vaccines may be effective indefinitely, OR might only have a useful anti-body producing life measured in months, rather than years or decades, as are most vaccines. There are differences of opinion on this matter, even among the scientists who are working on them. I, for one, will resist being vaccinated with one of these semi-experimental vaccines to the best of my ability for as long as possible.
State Court System Won’t Reveal Key Details on Judicial Discipline
- By Rick Brundrett - The Nerve
For the second time in recent months, the S.C. Judicial Department has sided with secrecy about how the court system operates.
In October, the department denied The Nerve’s request under the state Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) for a list of judicial staff making at least $50,000 annually – records which are considered public for any government agency under the FOIA.

The Tyrannical Left's Sinister Conspiracy to Silence Conservatives
- By David Limbaugh
Why does the left want to silence conservatives? Why do rank-and-file Democrats go along with this abomination? Leftists have bad intentions, but how about the Democrats who enable them? I prefer to think they've being manipulated.
As worried as we should be about the hyperexploding national debt and our inevitable fiscal catastrophe, I am even more worried about the left's success in turning America into a police state (ironic, given its simultaneous war on the police).
SALTY Sez - Training to be a Worker-Bee Slave
- By Ray Simmons
If you haven’t heard, Biden’s been busy taking down a lot of our freedoms. He and his Chinese buddies. China, with a little help from certain Americans, gave us Coved-19 to frighten us into obeying our leaders to save our lives. Sure, Covid-19 kills some people, but the death rate is about the same as the flu, which we handle every year without shutting down our nation.
Ideological Imperialism Is Leading to a Bad End
- By Pat Buchanan
When it was learned in 2016 that Russia may have hacked the emails of John Podesta and the DNC, and passed the fruits on to WikiLeaks to aid candidate Donald Trump, mighty was the outrage of the American establishment.
If Russia's security services filched those emails, and a troll farm in Saint Petersburg sent tweets and texts to stir up rancor in our politics, it was said, this was an attack on American democracy and its most sacred of rituals -- the elections by which we chose our leaders.

Democrats Want a 'Return to Civility'; When Did They Practice It? Part 2
- By Larry Elder
Last week, we covered the challenge President Joe Biden faces in his supposed quest to return to an era of "civility." Democrats never practiced civility. We listed only some of the race- and Nazi-based insults used for decades by Democrats against the very Republicans with whom they now seek "healing." Here are just a few more examples:
Left-wing actor/singer and activist Harry Belafonte, who marched with close friend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., called President George W. Bush a racist. When asked whether the number and prominence of Blacks in the Bush administration perhaps suggested a lack of racism, Belafonte explained, "Hitler had a lot of Jews high up in the hierarchy of the Third Reich."
A First With The Gas-Tax-Hike Law – And It’s Little To Celebrate
- By Rick Brundrett - The Nerve
2020 ended with a first in the 3½ years of the gas-tax-hike law, though many South Carolina motorists probably won’t be happy about it.
As of Dec. 31, more revenues were collected under the law, which took effect July 1, 2017, than the total estimated cost of all road and bridge projects identified by the S.C. Department of Transportation to be paid with the money, recently released agency records show.
A New GOP Future -- Beyond President Trump
- By Star Parker
The Congressional Budget Office now projects that economic recovery in 2021 will be faster than it predicted last July. It projects that the economy will be back to its pre-pandemic levels by mid-2021. This very good news reflects the fact that the economic turndown was not as severe as the CBO had expected, and that the recovery was stronger than expected.
Former President Donald Trump, recently rejected for reelection by American voters, can take full credit for this.
Biden's Department of Homeland Sleaze Chief
- By Michelle Malkin
Everything old is new again. The corruptocracy of the Obama administration is back with a vengeance in the White House. Once more, the "S" in "DHS" stands not for security -- but for sleaze. Our nation is back for sale to the highest foreign bidders and their "America last" cronies.
Last Thursday, the Senate Homeland Security Committee pushed through the nomination of Alejandro "Ali" Mayorkas to head the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Six Senate Republicans sided with Democrats in breaking a GOP filibuster: Sens. Mitt Romney of Utah, Susan Collins of Maine, Rob Portman of Ohio, Shelley Moore Capito of West Virginia, and Dan Sullivan and Lisa Murkowski of Alaska.
