The “Gaspee Affair” of 1772: The First Blow for Freedom – Part 2
- By W.H. Lamb
Last time we discovered a little known (or at least seldom taught) part of American history which revolved around the activities, and fate, of HMS Gaspee, one of King George’s warships (a two-masted 8 gun schooner), which had been used very successfully in 1772 in Narragansett Bay off the coast of Rhode Island, to disrupt what the colonists considered to be “free trade”, but which the British government considered “smuggling”. Again, I’m indebted to two authorities on this subject, The Warwick, Rhode Island ‘Digital History Project’, and Dr. John Concannon, Webmaster of Gaspee Virtual Archives, from both of which I quote freely to tell this tale of what may have been one of the main events that precipitated the War of the Revolution.
Salty Sez – The Fourth Generation
- By Ray Simmons
You Bible scholars probably recognize the title here. I was a bit disturbed about this Scripture until recently. I just couldn’t see God punishing children for their fathers’ sins, nor punishing the fathers for their children’s sins. If you are familiar with Exodus 20 15:5 “Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor serve them, for I Jehovah thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, upon the third and upon the fourth generation of them that hate me,” (ASV). The bow down nor serve them refers to other gods being worshiped; money, sports, cars, celebrities, houses, you name it. (Also see Numbers 14:18) I recently heard a sermon on this topic, my following comments are what I brought away from that sermon:
The first generation is a generation strongly seeking and loving God, but gradually moving away from Him and His Word. The second generation follows the first and continues to move away. The third generation follows the second and moves even further away. When the fourth generation arrives and continues the process they reach the point that God will no longer sustain and bless them. I think I am old enough to have arrived in that first generation. I have watched our process as we removed God from our schools, from our government and from many of our churches. I think we are likely in the fourth generation. The many problems we are seeing in our nation these days may just be God telling us we had better turn back to Him, man’s wisdom is insufficient and will not preserve our blessings.
Touchdown for Life
- By Eagle Forum
A Supreme Court Vacancy on the bench always incites discussions around the likelihood of the next Justice in helping to overturn Roe v. Wade. Champions of the pro-life cause have certainly decreased the number of deaths due to abortion. Yet, there are still over 600 million abortions annually and to get to 0, we must facilitate a culture of life.

Supreme Court Nominee Could Impact Personhood Protection
- By Christian Newswire
NORCROSS, Ga. -- Georgia Right to Life (GRTL) today said it is cautiously optimistic that increased protection of the Personhood of the pre-born, the elderly, and the infirm in Georgia could be helped with the confirmation of President Trump's nominee for the Supreme Court.
"Adding another pro-life jurist to the court is clearly a step in the right direction," GRTL Ricardo Davis said. "When deciding cases involving life issues, we can only hope that Judge Amy Coney Barrett holds fast to the convictions she has publicly expressed."

The letter, organized by the Seymour Institute for Black Church and Policy Studies states: "Today we stand with, and speak in defense of, Judge Amy Coney Barrett. As black Christians we will not stand by in silence as our sister in the faith is persecuted for the 'political crime' of her beliefs."

The Attacks on Judge Barrett's Faith Are Despicable and Must be Condemned
- By Tony Perkins - Family Research Council
With President Trump scheduled to announce his Supreme Court nominee by the end of the week, the Left's opposition playbook for the prospective nominee is being opened for all to see. One of the leading contenders for the court vacancy is Amy Coney Barrett, currently serving as a judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. She is a favorite among many religious conservatives, and given the growing attacks on religious expression, fervently desire to put a strong originalist justice on the court. Barrett has been attacked by the Left not only for her position on judicial interpretation but for something far more personal -- and protected -- under that same Constitution: her Christian, specifically Catholic, faith.
Trump Haters Gaslighting Trump Supporters
- By David Limbaugh
It's getting scary out there, people. Everywhere you turn, Trump haters are venting their wrath against Trump supporters, as if supporting President Trump is an unforgivable sin.
They're projecting and gaslighting -- blaming Trump and his supporters for everything they're doing. It's madness, but at long last, they might have awakened the sleeping giant they're trying to hunt down and destroy.
Democrats' Complaints About the Coming Supreme Court Vote Don't Pass the Smell Test
- By Neil Patel
In case you didn't notice, our country is completely falling apart. There are so many problems that they are hard to list out at this point, but the biggest, by far, is the increasing animosity between Americans of different political persuasions. People think those on the other side are evil and need to be destroyed. There have always been views like that on the fringes, but the fringes have made huge advances and are now dominating our discourse. And it's not just discourse. We are seeing actual political violence on a scale not seen since the late 1960s. Most Americans my age have never imagined our country in a state of civil war, but can you honestly say that idea is as ludicrous today as it was 10 years ago? We are sliding fast in a bad direction, and it's time for people of goodwill to come together to put it to an end.
All the Chips Are on the Table Now
- By Pat Buchanan
"As everyone knows, I made it clear that my first choice for the Supreme Court will make history as the first African American woman justice."
So Joe Biden promised. Since the death of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, however, Biden has refused to produce a list of Black female judges and scholars whom he would consider for the now-vacant seat.
What is his problem?

S.C. Lawmakers Continue Tight Grip on PSC Elections
- By Rick Brundrett - The Nerve
For many South Carolinians, the size of their utility bills ultimately rests with state lawmakers.
Not only do legislators elect the seven-member S.C. Public Service Commission, which, among other things, sets utility rates for investor-owned gas and electric utilities, but they also control the nomination of PSC candidates.
Those who want to be a PSC commissioner must have the support of the six-legislator, 10-member State Regulation of Public Utilities Review Committee, or PURC for short. PSC members currently earn a base annual salary of $132,071, according to the state salary database.

Sunrise Movement: The Riotous Left's Pot-Banging Brats
- By Michelle Malkin
Wake up. The "community organizers" of the left are in full wildebeest mode. Now is not the time for bending down, rolling over or playing nice. From now until Election Day (and likely until the end of the year), you can expect screaming banshees carrying identical, preprinted signs to turn up in the middle of the night at the private homes of elected politicians, Donald Trump campaign and administration officials, law enforcement officers, judges and conservative leaders.
Last Best Chance to Capture Supreme Court
- By Pat Buchanan
President Donald Trump and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell are on the cusp of making history.
With Trump having named two justices to the U.S. Supreme Court, Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh, they have an opening to elevate a third justice to fill the seat of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, thereby securing the constitutionalism of the court for a generation.

Language and Thought
- By Walter Williams
Seventeenth-century poet and intellect John Milton predicted, "When language in common use in any country becomes irregular and depraved, it is followed by their ruin and degradation." Gore Vidal, his 20th-century intellectual successor, elaborated saying: "As societies grow decadent, the language grows decadent, too. Words are used to disguise, not to illuminate." Sloppy language permits people to get away with speaking and doing all manner of destructive nonsense without being challenged.

The Dark Question behind the Wuhan Virus
- By Mike Scruggs
Was Covid-19 Accidental or Biological Warfare?
On January 31, President Trump declared the Covid-19 coronavirus a U.S. public health emergency and issued a ban on travel between the United States and China. Democratic Presidential candidate Joe Biden, speaking at an Iowa campaign event, severely criticized Trump’s action, calling it “hysteria and xenophobia.” It quickly became evident that the coronavirus was extraordinarily contagious and potentially deadly. A special problem has been that its spread is often asymptomatic. In the greatest and quickest successful cooperative national mobilization of government, industry, commerce, science, and medicine since World War II, the Trump Administration, made sure every logistical need to fight the virus was available. After several months experience and data, the virus turned out to be deadly primarily to those who already have other health problems or weakened immune systems, which are most common among older people. Further actions to limit the spread of the virus by shutting down schools and portions of the economy were devastating to the economy, but lifting these restrictions now has the economy roaring back.
The “Gaspee Affair” of 1772: Part 1 – Prelude to Revolution
- By W.H. Lamb
We’ve all heard the almost immortal words: “Taxation without representation is tyranny”; most of us have been taught that these were the fighting words that ignited our War of the Revolution on April 19, 1775. As much as I dislike throwing “cold water” on such a venerable link in the chain of American history, I must conclude that “taxation”, with or without “representation”, was NOT the original motivator of our British American ancestors, as they existed uneasily with the might of “Mother England” and pondered their relationship with their parent country.
Marxism from the Schoolhouse to Your House
- By Frank Raddish - Founder/Director Capitol Hill Independent Baptist Ministries
In early America, the educational system was a great blessing to our country. One of the reasons was that the Bible was the center of education for reading, writing, spelling, and memorization. The principles of the Bible build respect, obedience, and character in American school children. On September 20, 1789, there was an article published in the Palladium magazine in which Congressman Fisher Ames said, "We have a dangerous trend beginning to take place in our education. We're starting put more and more textbooks in our schools….We've become accustomed of late of putting little books into the hands of children containing fables and moral lessons….We are spending less time in the classroom on the Bible, which should be the principle text in our schools…." Also, Fisher stated, "Should not the Bible regain the place it once held as a schoolbook?"
SALTY SEZ: How Do You Spell U.N.
- By Ray Simmons
I seldom hear anybody talking about the United Nations (UN) these days. I guess that’s just one of those things people don’t think ‘bout any more, but we ought to. It didn’t go nowhere—it’s still there, and we are still its major supporter. Lots of stuff them democrats still talking about comes from there. That old “New World Order” got born there. We’re living in the year 2020 and I bet most of you don’t recall a “Project 2020” that was being discussed all around in 1999 and 2000. It outlined bunches of plans to be worked out and completed by year 2020. There was an article back then (June 1999) by Jane Chastain for “World Net Daily” titled “The U. N. In Your Backyard.” Its first paragraph said this: “Don't look now, but the United Nations has its sights on your back yard. No longer content to regulate our population, automobiles, air, water and parks, the global Gestapo now wants to regulate that little plot of earth covered by the grass you mow and the trees that shade your lawn chairs.” That was just one thing they was talking about back then to control how much greenhouse gas was being produced—now we call that part of climate control. The UN also has an agreement in our Congress that if approved might let the government take our guns. There’s lots of things they’ve been working on that democrats will approve if they win this election, and that’s no scuttlebutt.
Candace Owens and Her “Blexit” Event Hold Blowout Rally in Greer Saturday Night!
- By W.H. Lamb
A “sold out” crowd of 1500 or more wildly cheering American Patriots held a combination TRUMP RALLY and BLEXIT 2020 (Black Exit from the Democrat Party) EVENT on the afternoon and evening of September 12. The audience of white and black Patriots and Christians listened, cheered, chanted, and yelled their approval of well-known Constitutional Patriots, all of whom were determined to never “bend their knee” to any man, and do so only to their Lord and Savior, Jesus the Messiah.
