Wisdom of Man
- By Jim S. Brooks
The media today is filled with news about competing religions and faith value systems. The general thrust is man should respect each system. Each system advances its views with the sincere convictions of convinced adherents! However, their teachings are widely divergent! What is acceptable human activity in one system is absolutely not acceptable in another. On the other hand essential “godly” worship in one is an abhorrent “ungodly” offense in another! The major religious choices are: Protestantism, Catholicism, Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, and Confucianism; or, atheism.

The President's Legal Woes Continue to Grow
- By Judge Andrew Napolitano
It seems that every time we look at the legal maneuverings that reflect upon President Donald Trump, the allegations of unlawful behavior by him add up. We know that two teams of federal prosecutors are examining his pre-presidential and his in-office behavior.
Special counsel Robert Mueller is investigating whether Trump and his campaign reached an agreement with any foreign nationals -- particularly Russians -- to receive anything of value and whether he obstructed justice by trying to shut down an FBI investigation of his first national security adviser, retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn. And federal prosecutors in Manhattan are looking at bank fraud and campaign financing fraud.
Can the GOP Stop Scrooge from Hitting Churches?
- By Tony Perkins - Family Research Council
If you thought your Christmas to-do list was long -- you should see Congress's! Before dipping into the wassail, members in both chambers are scrambling to finish up seven spending bills, criminal justice reform, welfare reauthorization, and a sleigh of other issues before sprinting home for the holidays. But there's one bill that conservatives are especially interested in seeing under their tree this year – and that's the Retirement, Savings, And Other Tax Relief Act of 2018 (H.R. 88).

Entrapment of Flynn Takes Another Dark Turn
- By John & Andy Schlafly
Life in the Deep State took another dark turn on Tuesday, at the sentencing of Lt. General Michael T. Flynn that did not happen. Instead, he was asked if he had committed treason, which is something not even the partisan Mueller prosecutors ever considered charging him with.
This story would be suitable for Alice in Wonderland if it did not involve an injustice inflicted on an honorable man who risked his life for our Nation. Rather than being able to celebrate Christmas by putting this travesty behind him, Lt. Gen. Flynn is left wondering how his lifelong patriotism was called into question.
Three Good Men; Three Great Kids' Books
- By Michelle Malkin
Men get a bad rap. They're blamed collectively for rape culture, violence, war, poverty, climate change and all other manner of global suffering. They're forced to apologize on college campuses for their chromosomes, anatomy and athleticism. They're vilified incessantly in women's magazines, on women's talk shows and at women's confabs promoting the male-bashing #MeToo movement.

Let's Stop Pretending It’s Christians That are Obsessed with People’s Sex Lives
- By Erick Erickson
When leftists pushing the sexual revolution say this, it is a classic (and annoying) case of projection.
As a Christian who believes and promotes the superiority of the Biblical sexual ethic, I’ve become quite accustomed to this silly accusation from progressive political activists: “all you evangelicals care about is homosexuality…why single out this one sin more than any other?”
Some Thoughts and Observations
- By Ray Simmons
VOTING: Never vote for a candidate who talks about our DEMOCRACY. Our country was founded as a REPUBLIC. If you don’t know the difference, don’t vote at all.
Unless you are getting gray-headed you probably don’t know that in early America only property owning citizens were allowed to vote, male property holders at that. Most property was owned by men, and unless one owned property he was considered not to have any investment that might be affected....no skin in the game, as the saying goes. The 1828 presidential election was the first in which non-property-holding white males could vote in the vast majority of states. By the end of the 1820s, attitudes and state laws had shifted in favor of universal white male suffrage. The women had to wait a while longer. Dead people and non-citizens are still not supposed to vote, but I understand some do.
I'll Be Home(less) for Christmas?
- By Tony Perkins - Family Research Council
In Washington State, grandma didn't get run over by a reindeer -- but her rights sure did! At the Providence Place senior living center, this year's crackdown on Christmas is so severe it makes the Grinch look like an amateur. There are bans on carols, trees, mangers -- and don't even try to say "Merry Christmas!" The message from management is simple: if you want to celebrate the season, move somewhere else.

The Healthcare Revolution: More Choices, Not More Taxes
- By Marilyn M. Singleton, MD, JD
Paris is in flames over a fuel tax increase that would pile 30 cents onto the $7.06 per gallon price paid by citizens whose average monthly salary is $2,753.This burdensome “carbon tax” on the middle class is intended to help meet Europe’s commitment to reduce carbon dioxide emissions and thereby halt global warming or climate change. It appears that the 21st century French Revolution has begun. This time, Brussels is sending in tanks to protect the new elite and its agenda.

In the latest triumph of transgenderism, a school district in southern England will begin teaching grade-schoolers that “all genders” can have menstrual periods.
“Trans boys and men and non-binary people may have periods,” reads the advice to teachers from the Brighton and Hove City Council. In other words, females who deny their biological sex will nevertheless experience physical symptoms of being female as they mature.
Here Comes Commerce Clause!
- By Tony Perkins
After 2017, most Republicans just wanted to forget about Obamacare. Thanks to one court, that'll be impossible to do now. More than a year after the GOP watched Senator John McCain kill their best shot at repealing the law, a judge in Texas just did what Congress could not.
For the GOP, who'd put aside any hope of toppling the law after the midterm, District Judge Reed O'Connor guaranteed that the issue isn't just back -- it's front and center. "As I predicted all along," President Trump tweeted, "Obamacare has been struck down as an unconstitutional disaster! Now Congress must help Trump pass a strong law that provides great healthcare and protects pre-existing conditions. Mitch and Nancy, get it done!"
Trump's Biggest Problem Is This, Not Mueller
- By Erick Erickson
He must rebuild and grow gains, but neither he nor his supporters seem interested
After the President's tweet cheering on the demise of the Weekly Standard, I noted President Trump needed to be building bridges in the aftermath of the 2018 midterms, not burning bridges. Numerous Trump supporters offered up a variation of "f**k them" and "they'd never vote for him anyway."

USDA Launches Second Round of Trade Mitigation Payments
- By USDA
(Washington, D.C.) – At the direction of President Donald J. Trump, U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue today launched the second and final round of trade mitigation payments aimed at assisting farmers suffering from damage due to unjustified trade retaliation by foreign nations. Producers of certain commodities will now be eligible to receive Market Facilitation Program (MFP) payments for the second half of their 2018 production.
“The President reaffirmed his support for American farmers and ranchers and made good on his promise, authorizing the second round of payments to be made in short order. While there have been positive movements on the trade front, American farmers are continuing to experience losses due to unjustified trade retaliation by foreign nations. This assistance will help with short-term cash flow issues as we move into the new year,” said Perdue.

Little-Known S.C. Panel Regularly OKs Requests to Release Sensitive Information
- By Rick Brundrett - The Nerve
For at least two years, a few members of an obscure state panel have routinely approved requests by public- and private-sector researchers for sensitive information contained in a massive health “data warehouse,” records reviewed by The Nerve show.
The medical records database, managed by the state Revenue and Fiscal Affairs (RFA) Office, was created in 2002 under a state budget proviso and is renewed annually via a proviso. The Nerve in August revealed that a state privacy law and inter-agency agreements for the database offer weak privacy protections for citizens who deal with S.C agencies that provide records for the database.
