When newly elected U.S. President Barack Obama made his Moslem appeasing speech in Cairo last year, he claimed that "Islam has always been a part of America's story."

I thought it would be reasonable to check out America's story and look for that "part" that Islam has "always" played in our country's history.

"Always" would have to start back when the Pilgrims came by ship to these shores. All the historical reports tell us that the Pilgrrims were Christians seeking a place for freedom of worship. I don't recall that any of them were worshipping Allah. And were there Moslems among the people who welcomed the Pilgrims and helped them celebrate the first Thanksgiving Day? I think they were alll native Americans.

Then did Moslems fight with the colonial soldiers to gain this country's independence from England? Were there any Moslem signatures on the Declaration of Independence, on the U.S. Constitution, or the Bill of Rights?  I have not seen any.

And talking about rights, were there any Moslems involved in our Women's Suffrage struggle? Don't laugh. No Moslem state even today gives women rights like they have here. Moslem women are subservient to men everywhere, and in many places they are beaten if they do not wear their humiliating burka coverings.

Did Moslems fight in our Civil War to help to free the slaves? There is no record that they did. Ironically, Moslems today are the largest traffickers in human slavery in the world. Is this part of that "rich Moslem heritage" that Obama talked about?

And in World War II, where were the Moslems when the American military heroes stormed the beaches on D-Day and went on to secure peace and freedom for all of Europe and all the world? They were in Europe all right, cozying up to Adolph Hitler and supporting his inhumane murders of six million Jews in the Holocaust.

Of course, we know where they were on September 11, 2001. They flew planes into the World Trade Center in New York, into the Pentagon in Washington, and into a field in Pennsylvania, killing more than 3,000 innocent American people. And no one can dispute all the media pictures of Moslems dancing in the streets in many countries of the world, celebrating our pain and loss.

So all of this is a review of "the great Moslem heritage" in America. It surely seems that whenever Islam has been "a part of the American story," it has been negative, not positive.

I would be remiss if I did not add how Islam has been a part of Israel's story, as well. Moslem leaders and clergy across the Middle East have been vocal and militant in their threats to destroy not only "the Great Satan," America, but also "the Little Satan," Israel. They visciously preach hatred of the Jewish people and destruction of the Jewish state. You know well how one Moslem leader continuously threatens "to wipe Israel off the face of the map."

Moslem terrorists have been unrelentlessly attacking innocent Israeli people for decades, whenever they get a chance. The Fatah, Hamas, and Hezbulleh terrorists are all Moslem inspired and controlled. Some try to say that the majority of Moslems are peaceful and peace loving. If so, what are they doing to prevent terror or promote peace? Absolutely nothing.

Sad to say, our U.S. government officially treats Islam as a peaceful religion. Don't we understand that Islam has always been "the religion of the sword?" Their religious goals include the killing of all "infidels," which includes all Jews and all Christians. Their doctrines are literally traitorous to our U.S. Constitution and to our national laws and values.

We should be putting these traitors in prisons or exporting them back to their own Moslem countries. We should not be tolerating, appeasing, and fearing to offend them.

I hate to disagree with our nation's president, but in this case I have no other choice. Mr. Obama is leading our country down the road to more trouble by kissing and bowing to Islam. If things go on as they are, I hate to think of the role Islam will play in the future as "part of the American story."
