When asked why he robbed banks, a robber explained frankly, “because that is where the money is.”

Why do mass murderers choose schools to attack? It is because that is where large groups of unprotected potential innocent victims are.

Why do schools lock down when there is a crime committed in the area? It may be because criminals who fear being shot by police may be seeking safety in a gun free area.

Unless Greenville County Schools have a secret unannounced program that allows trained teachers and administrators inside schools to be armed, it is a matter of time before someone like the Oregon killer will target one of our schools and kill a classroom full of innocent students and teachers before a single resource officer or outside reaction force can react.

Then we can have a community meeting and discuss providing adequate security for the survivors.

The killer was a student enrolled in the English class that he attacked. It was the first week of classes. He may have known that the school of more than 3,000 students had one security officer who was not allowed to carry a weapon.

He killed the teacher. This is what the surviving students told their parents happened next.

He had all the students lie on the floor. He instructed them if they were Christians to stand up. He went one by one and asked again: “Are you a Christian?” If they said yes, he responded: “Good, because you’re a Christian, you are going to see God in just about one second.” Then he shot them in the head and killed them.

The students who gave no answer or said they were not Christians were shot in other parts of their body. He told one boy in the class he was going to let him live to deliver the material in his backpack to police. When the first police arrived, he reportedly shot himself.

The dominant media has stopped reporting the part about Christians being singled out and they avoid reporting what kind of character the killer was. (Most reported by WND)

His father was a Caucasian from England.  He lived with his mother who was Black. An uncle said he did not think his parents were ever married.

Police said he appeared to be “an angry young man very filled with hate.” He left a lot of information on websites. On a dating website called Spiritual Passions, he described his political views as “conservative Republican.” His spiritual views were “Not religious but spiritual.”   His desired match would have “pagan, wiccan views.” He was affiliated with two groups called Magick and Occult.

His admiration for the black former television reporter, who murdered two former colleagues on the air in Virginia, may give some clues into his motivation and twisted thinking.

He wrote: “People like him have nothing left to live for. I have noticed that so many people like him are all alone and unknown, yet when they spill a little blood, the whole world knows who they are. A man, who was known by no one, is now known by everyone. His face splashed across every screen, his name across the lips of every person on the planet, all in the course of one day. Seems the more people you kill, the more you’re in the limelight.”

Forensic Psychiatrist Dr. Michael Weiner said the Oregon and Charleston killers are “not necessarily ingrained racists. No, it starts with a desire to kill because one recognizes one will be larger than life.”

Carl Gallups, a Baptist pastor in Florida and a former police officer has written a book titled: Be Thou Prepared: Equipping the Church for Persecution and Times of Trouble predicts there are more school killings to come.

The murder of Christians “will probably continue to happen with increasing frequency as the spiritual makeup of our nation continues to decay. In the wake of this tragedy, the people of God will have even more opportunities to be ‘the salt and the light’ and to demonstrate the love of Jesus,” Pastor Gallups said.
