Donald Trump has defeated 16 Republican Candidates in the Republican Primary contests. He is the only candidate standing and is presumed to be the ultimate winner at the Republican Convention in Cleveland, Ohio in July. He humiliated candidates Lindsey Graham and Jeb Bush in the South Carolina Primary. The entire Bush family, including two former presidents, is furious with Trump and refuses to endorse or promise to vote for him in the General Election.

Establishment Republicans who fear losing their power and prestige are taking out their revenge on Trump, however, it is the voters with whom they are really angry. For decades conservative Republicans have supported the candidates the party bosses selected for them. They made promises and never kept them. The voters are angry and have decided not to support the party regulars this time. They have chosen instead to take their chances with an outsider who has promised what they want in a leader. The nation is shocked at his success and the party leaders are terrified.

Pat Buchanan, who sought the Republican nomination a few years ago, advises Trump to “keep the door open to those he defeated.” Buchanan warned that, “the greatest mistake he could make would be to seek the support of the establishment he crushed by compromising on the issues that brought out his crowds and brought him his victories and nomination.”

Trump is meeting with House Speaker Paul Ryan this week. Ryan announced to a reporter last week that he was not ready to support Trump’s agenda. Trump was quick to respond.

“I am not ready to support Speaker Ryan’s agenda. Perhaps in the future we can work together and come to an agreement about what is best for the American people. They have been treated so badly for so long that it is about time for politicians to put them first.”

The GOP National Chairman has decided to work with Trump as Trump begins fund raising for the party. The Trump for President campaign held a unity breakfast for delegates to the South Carolina Republican Convention Saturday morning. The host was Trump Supporter and SC Lt. Gov. Henry McMaster. SCGOP Chairman Matt Moore, joined McMaster as one of the breakfast speakers.

South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham has made it clear that he will not endorse or vote for Donald Trump in the General Election. It would not be surprising if he changes parties in order to try for an appointment by Clinton. Trump wasted no time or words responding to Graham for whom he has little or no respect.

“I fully understand why Lindsey Graham cannot support me. If I got beaten as badly as I beat him, and all the other candidates he endorsed, I would not be able to give my support either. Every time I see Lindsey Graham spew hate during interviews, I ask why the media never questions how I single handily destroyed his hapless run for president. As a candidate who did not receive one percent in his own state, compared to my victory of nearly forty percent with many others in the race – he has zero credibility. He was a poor representative and an embarrassment to the great people of South Carolina. Judging by the incompetent way he ran his campaign, it is easy to see why his military strategies have failed so badly – We can’t even beat ISIS!

“While I will unify the party, Lindsey Graham has shown himself to be beyond rehabilitation. And like the voters who rejected him, so will I,” concluded Trump in a news release.

Former Vice President Dick Cheney, proven patriot has endorsed Trump. He can be a valuable advisor on military and foreign affairs matters.

Senator Ted Cruz has not publicly stated whether he will support or oppose Trump. In his concession speech he seemed to close the door to cooperation with Trump, saying that his battle would continue. He would be an excellent appointment to the Supreme Court, and he should not shut out that possibility.
