Exodus 32:35 contains an interesting principle, one that all Americans should know and apply in their lives today: “And the LORD plagued the people, because they made the calf, which Aaron made.” Critics of the Bible would probably jump on that and say, “Wait a minute, who‘made the calf, the people or Aaron?" If they would think about it for a few seconds they could answer their own question, and not go off on some idiotic tangent. Moses had been up on Mount Sinai, receiving the commandments from God. The Children of Israel got impatient for his return. They broke off their earrings, donated them to Aaron, and asked him to make them a god. Without their participation Aaron could not have made the golden calf. God held them both equally responsible.

A few days ago the President of the United States demanded that modern day Israel give up land that is critical to their national survival. In other words, he demanded that they commit national suicide to benefit their Muslim neighbors. These are the people about whom God said, “And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.” (Genesis 12:3) The President of the United States has shaken his puny list in the face of God and declared, “I will not bless your chosen people. I will not allow all the families of the earth to be blessed by them any longer. You are not God. I am.”

What are we, the citizens of the United States, going to do about it? He cannot get away with this outrageous demand without our participation. We are already complicit because we elected this narcissistic, egotistical, lying, would-be world dictator our President. If we do not immediately take him down to size and cancel his authority to speak for us, will not God hold us equally responsible? To wait until November 2012 is both cowardly and wrong!
