Trump Impeached!
- By Ben Graydon
Is God threatened by the impeachment investigation against President Trump? To the thinking, God-knowing mind, that question is ludicrous on its face, but many people act as if they don't really believe in the sovereignty of God. Or maybe even more to the point, as if God really cares (like it could upset His plans or interfere with His power) who our president is. Now, granted, many of us believers have been rightfully excited by the presidency of Donald Trump, as he has done many wonderful things while serving in the Oval Office that no other president before has ever done. But while that is good, we ought not to hang our hats entirely upon the personal supremacy of this likeable and excellent president.

What Do You Believe?
- By Ray Simmons
I hope the above title will catch your interest sufficiently to have you read the opening paragraph at least. Doing a little research and checking an on-line textbook of U. S. History, I found very little about the Father of Our Country, George Washington. Using this textbook you might find out where he was and what he was doing at certain times but you would learn nothing about the man himself.

Sweden and the Fate of the West
- By Mike Scruggs
The Toxic Dangers of Uncontrolled Immigration
As economists Robert Lawson and Benjamin Powell point out in their new book, Socialism Sucks, Sweden is not a socialist country. The Fraser Institute’s Economic Freedom Index, which measures how well a country respects private property rights, encourages free trade, keeps business taxes low, protects the value of its currency, and keeps business regulations to a minimum, rates Sweden 7.54 on a scale of zero to ten. This ranks them 27th out of 159 countries measured.

Where Is Your “Isle Of Innisfree”?
- By W.H. Lamb
What, you ask, is “an Isle of Innisfree”? It is a mystical place that resides in your memories, carefully hidden away from “outsider” eyes, available only to the one whose memory vault is locked securely from those who didn’t share one or more of those “ancient reminiscences” with you, such as a parent, a sibling, or a childhood friend. Except for “bits and pieces”, one’s “Isle of Innisfree” can never be fully shared with one’s children, and seldom with one’s spouse. It can only be shared with one who “lived” it. If you don’t understand what I’m saying, then you aren’t old enough to have discovered your own “Isle of Innisfree”!

A Biblical Perspective of Slavery
- By Mike Scruggs
Slavery and the Spirit of Salem - Part 10 of 10 of a series
Slavery is part of world history, and it is an important part of American history. But slavery is one of the subjects Americans cannot have a frank discussion about. It is too wrapped in emotional, political, and ideological chains. On the subject of slavery, many Americans, especially in the media, academia, and politics, have succumbed to a form of ignorant hysteria comparable to the Salem Witch Trials. If you say anything that contradicts the usual, required extreme image of Southern slavery, you are likely to be shouted down without any consideration of the facts.

Warning: The Proposed Article V Constitutional Convention (Con-Con) May Be A Mega Con! Part 2
- By W.H. Lamb
Last time we began an investigation into what is called a “Proposed Article V Constitutional Convention”, or a “CON-CON, also referred to as a “Convention of The States”. We examined the procedure that “Article V” of our 1787 Constitution specifies as to how our constitution is to be amended. We also looked at some “unwise” amendments ratified in the first quarter of the 20th century, and began to question the rationality of convening a NEW CON-CON, as well as the possible motives of the people and/or groups who are pushing hard for it—people who are attempting a “con-job”, first and foremost.

A Biblical Perspective on Slavery
- By Mike Scruggs
Lessons from Philemon and Preeminent Bible Scholars - Part 9 of a series of 10.
According to the commentary of the highly esteemed Rev. Matthew Henry (1662-1714) on Paul’s Epistle to Philemon [written about 60 AD], Philemon was probably a minister of the Church at Colossae. The church there met at his home. Philemon had a servant (slave) named Onesimus, who having stolen goods from him, fled and eventually came to Rome. By God’s Providence, there Onesimus came under the influence and preaching of Paul, then a prisoner for preaching the Gospel. Onesimus became a Christian and ministered to Paul’s needs in prison.
