Pelosi Purges Past
- By Eagle Forum
In the wake of racially charged protests, the country has seen an uptick of statue desecrations in multiple cities against figures who don’t pass today’s standard of “decency.” From Abraham Lincoln to Christopher Columbus, many historical figures have been targeted not only by protestors but by politicians as well.
And now this week, the House of Representatives is set to pass H.R. 7573, which removes various statues from the Halls of the United States Capitol that are affiliated with the Confederacy. The title of the bill is a description of its intent, To direct the Architect of the Capitol to replace the bust of Roger Brooke Taney in the Old Supreme Court Chamber of the United States Capitol with a bust of Thurgood Marshall to be obtained by the Joint Committee on the Library and to remove certain statues from areas of the United States Capitol which are accessible to the public, to remove all statues of individuals who voluntarily served the Confederate States of America from display in the United States Capitol, and for other purposes.

Left Comes for Religious Hospitals with Surgical Precision
- By Tony Perkins - Family Research Council
The justices predicted a war -- and almost one month to the day of their Bostock ruling, they got one. The first shot was fired last Thursday, when the ACLU decided to sue Maryland's St. Joseph Medical Center for refusing to take out a woman's perfectly healthy uterus just because she wanted to live as a man. It goes against the hospital's religious beliefs, St. Joseph argued. But now, thanks to the Supreme Court, it might go against six justices' ridiculous definition of "sex" too.

Life Legal Files SCOTUS Brief Demolishing Roe's Viability Standard
- By Life Legal Defense Foundation
WASHINGTON -- Life Legal filed an important amicus brief today in Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization in support of Mississippi's "Gestational Age Act," which prohibits abortion after 15 weeks. We filed the brief on behalf of Dr. Robin Pierucci, a neonatologist and bioethicist who is a nationally recognized expert in care for "micro-preemies," or very young premature babies born during the second trimester of pregnancy.
Our brief is an attack on the unworkable "viability" standard adopted by the Supreme Court in Roe v. Wade and affirmed in Planned Parenthood v. Casey, which has cost the lives of millions of babies. These cases rely on a highly subjective determination of a baby's "capability of meaningful life outside the mother's womb."

House Sacrifices Military Security in Favor of Sex Diversity
- By Eagle Forum
This week the House is set to vote on the William M. (Mac) Thornberry National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2021 (NDAA), bill number H.R. 6395.
The NDAA Reauthorization authorizes about $740.5 billion for the fiscal year 2021. The provisions in H.R. 6395 should focus on providing for military readiness, supporting our troops, and our security. Yet, these funds are being used for unsubstantial security threats, like climate change prevention. The legislation also prevents the President from withdrawing troops from Germany by requiring certain certifications and reports before he can do so. And, in an attempt to block the border wall from coming into fruition, the legislation sets a $100 million for domestic projects and $500 million for overseas projects spending cap on emergency use of military construction funding. According to an article in The Hill, “To date, Trump has taken $3.6 billion from military construction funding for the wall.”
