UN Ambassador, CIA Director, Vice President of the United States, and President of the United States

President George H. W. Bush has died. The 41st President of the United States and last World War II veteran to serve as President, had been in ill health for some time.

President Bush had one of the most impressive careers in modern Washington. He had been a member of the House of Representatives before becoming US Ambassador to the United Nations. He then served as Chairman of the Republican National Committee before being named as Liaison to China. That preceded becoming Director of the Central Intelligence Agency, then Vice President of the United States for eight years before being President for one term.

His son Jeb Bush served as Governor of Florida and his son George W. Bush served as Governor of Texas and also President.

President George H. W. Bush's American governmental resume and legacy made him a John Adams of our time.

He fought in World War II as a naval aviator and his plane was shot down over the Pacific. He was rescued by the USS Finback, a submarine. The love of his life, Barbara Bush, preceded him in death, as did his daughter Robin, who are both no doubt now in warm embrace with the President, welcoming him to the kingdom eternal.

A force for good in the world and the man who completed the Reagan legacy against the Soviets before liberating Kuwait from Saddam Hussein, George H. W. Bush wil be missed.
