City of Greenville Fully Engaged Implementing International Socialist Agenda

Agenda---Front-2-colSpartanburg County Council has dumped ICLEI and separated the county government from the International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives.

The ICLEI web site states that they have over 1220 local government members in 70 different countries who are committed to sustainable development.

ICLEI provides technical consulting, training and information services to their members, to build capacity, share knowledge, and support local government in the implementation of sustainable development at the local level.

The city of Greenville continues to be a fully engaged, dues paying member of the international association of local governments that “have made a commitment to sustainable development.” ICLEI boasts that their approach “links local action to internationally agreed-upon goals and targets such as Agenda 21, the Rio Conventions: on Climate Change, Bio Diversity, to Combat Desertification; the Habitat Agenda, Millennium Development Goals, and the Johannesburg Plan of Implementation.”

Each of ICLEI’s initiatives incorporate a five-milestones structure to guide participating governments such as the city of Greenville:

Establish a baseline

Set a target

Develop a local action plan

Implement the local action plan

Measure results

Greenville County is not a dues paying member of ICLEI, however the comprehensive plan developed by the Greenville County Plans Office for County Council closely follows the ICLEI international agenda, and a faction of Council members are in accord with much of the plan and agenda.

Roger Nutt, a member of Spartanburg County Council, was instrumental in kicking ICLEI out of Spartanburg County. He discovered they are systematically undermining our most basic rights as Americans.

Councilman Nutt spoke at the RINO Hunt meeting in Greenville last Friday and was given an enthusiastic reception by a packed house.

“When I took office, taxpayers like you all who had done a lot of research brought to my attention Agenda 21 and all of its ramifications,” the Councilman said. “It really opened my eyes as to what was going on. I started doing my own research and putting all the pieces together. You don’t have to go very far, you just have to go to their website.

“In Spartanburg County, we have a seven member Council. There were already three people on Council who wanted to do some things. They needed one more vote to get things done. I was that vote and it shows how important one vote can be.

“During the Council meeting, I just gave the council members information. I took out ICLEI’s agenda from their website and began reading to them. People on Council and in the room were appalled as I told them we were members. That night we got a unanimous vote to get ICLEI out of Spartanburg County.

“When the vote was taken, one of the members of ICLEI stormed out of the room and slammed the door. There is an agenda and it reaches into every area of our lives,” Nutt said.

The first term Councilman offered some advice to his Greenville County neighbors regarding protection of freedom.

“We have got to be vigilant. We have to be sure we have the right people in positions to make a difference and we have got to let the public know.

“We really are dealing with what we believe true Americans stand for and what another group of people think we should stand for. It is foundational. It is about property rights and their belief that we don’t have the right to our private property. They really do believe that we don’t have the right to our property.”

After getting publicity for leading the first government agency in South Carolina to boot out ICLEI, the Councilman received a telephone call from a man who revealed the twisted agenda of the ICLEI supporters. The man advised him that, “As a government agency, you need to make the best and wisest use of all public and private land, and make sure you do whatever that is.”

In conclusion Councilman Nutt encouraged everyone present to “do your own research and go out and talk to anyone you can.”

He said the danger is so vast and complex that it is hard for most people to understand, so they just shut it out. His advice is to keep it simple. When you talk to people just ask:

“Do you believe that when someone owns a piece of property that the government is the best one to come and tell them what the best use of that land is and will need to convert it to that use?

“If they believe that, they are on their side. If they don’t, they are on our side. It is that simple.

“We need to get the word out. We need to be sure our State Lawmakers and County Council members all know what is going on, and it is not some conspiracy theory. Their whole agenda is to come in through local government.”

One of the Principles of Liberty is: “Life and liberty are secure only so long as the right to property is secure.”

John Adams saw private property as the most important single foundation stone undergirding human liberty and human happiness. He said:

“The moment the idea is admitted into society that property is not as sacred as the laws of God, and that there is not a force of law and public justice to protect it, anarchy and tyranny commence. PROPERTY MUST BE SECURED OR LIBERTY CANNOT EXIST.”
