Before diving into actual evidence for Biblical creation and the Genesis Flood, it is necessary to discuss the differences between how creationists and evolutionists see evidence. These differences result from fundamental differences in the worldview behind the position. Creationists start with God, the Bible, and the implications of God as the intelligent designer and creator of the world and all that is in it. Evolutions, on the other hand, look at evidence from what is essentially an atheistic naturalistic materialistic perspective. While many evolutionists also believe in God, they still look at the evidence from this perspective. If they see any role for Him at all, it is little more than a guiding force. However, it is these differences that explain much of the disagreement between how creationists and evolutionists see evidence.
At the most basic level, creationists are looking at the evidence from a clearly theistic perspective. Beyond that the Bible is used as a starting point for building models of earth history. One of the big mistakes that evolutionists is make in their understanding of Biblical Creation is assuming that it is the end of the process when in reality it is just the beginning. In other words, creation is the starting with what they see as a historical description and builds on that, scientific models that are capable are being tested. Furthermore, not only had there been several early attempts at such models whose predictions have actually been proven incorrect resulting in the models being dropped by creationists who keep up to date, but there have also been several that have produced successfully tested predictions that even work well together despite independent development.
Evolutions on the other hand, even if they still believe in God, look at the evidence from a totally atheistic naturalistic materialistic perspective even if they do not realize they are doing so. This is mainly because that is how they are trained to look at science. Because God has been legally thrown out of the public schools children “educated” in the schools are taught to see the world from an atheistic naturalistic material perspective even if it is never described that way. This is because once you take God out of the picture you really have no other way left for looking at the world other than a completely atheistic one. Furthermore, an atheistic worldview is inevitably going to be naturalistic and materialistic in nature because they have thrown out any spiritual supernaturalistic possibilities before ever looking at any evidence. When you look at the evidence from an atheistic naturalistic materialistic perspective you will be incapable of seeing any evidence for either Biblical Creation or the Genesis Flood because, from that perspective, they are impossible. For example, they can look at the fact that there are billions of dead things buried in rock layers all over the dry land of the continents 95% of which are marine organisms, and not even see it as possible evidence for a global flood.
Consequently, a lot of the evidence that exists for both Creation and the Genesis Flood is not only missed by evolutionists, but they are fundamentally incapable of seeing it as such. Furthermore, they blindly see it as evidence for their own atheistic notion of universal common descent evolution in an old earth. The ultimate irony in this is that in doing so they are actually fulfilling biblical prophecy in 2 Peter 3:3-6.
