The Most Destructive President In Our History
- By Allan E. Brown - Greenville, SC
Fools who vote and vote fraud on a massive scale put a Muslim in the White House; not an ordinary Muslim, but a “closet” Jihadist catering to his Muslim Brotherhood cohorts.
Barak Hussein Obama warned us during his election campaigning that he was going to “fundamentally change this nation,” and he has made good on his promise. As the most destructive President in our history, this Jihadist puppet is doing his part to bring down the “Great Satan,” the U.S.A.

Extremism is Bad?
- By Frank Hall - Greenville, SC
Democrats often try to disparage Tea Party candidates by calling them “extremists.” To me this is both idiotic and despicable. Here’s why I say that:
John believes 6 + 8 = 14. Henry believes 6 + 8 = 68. Henry is very eloquent and is able to convince the majority of people that he is right and John is not only wrong, but he is an extremist because his ideas are so remote from the “main stream.” It is NOT a good idea, to force John to compromise with Henry and agree that 6 + 8 = 41 (halfway between 14 and 68).

Our Greatest Emergency
- By Frank Hall - Greenville, SC
In the 15th chapter of Jeremiah, God informs the prophet that He is dividing the Old Testament nation of Judah into four categories: those for death (presumably sickness and disease); some to the sword (presumably to be killed in battles); some for birds of prey and wild beasts to devour; and some to be taken as slaves to all the kingdoms of the earth, Do you not wonder why such devastation should be meted out to an entire nation by a just and holy God? Verses four and six explain, it is “... because of Manasseh the son of Hezekiah King of Judah, for that which he did in Jerusalem.” Why was that so terrible? (verse 6) “Thou hast forsaken me...” and “Thou art gone backward: therefore will I stretch out my hand against thee, and destroy thee;”

Gun Owners of America - An Highly Effective Organization
- By Allan E. Brown - Greenville, SC
I’m sure most readers of The Times have heard of Gun Owners of America. For those not familiar, this small but highly effective organization began operating in 1975, and has done an excellent job keeping watch on anti-gun politicians and anti-gun groups determined to destroy our right to keep and bear arms. Operating with a small staff and a mere fraction of the budget of the National Rifle Association, GOA has consistently stayed in trenches as the only pro-gun rights organization that will not compromise with the anti-gunners.

Should House Speaker Bobby Harrell Stay?
- By E. Ashley Landess - President, South Carolina Policy Council
Did you know that House Speaker Bobby Harrell has been unanimously elected numerous times to his leadership position by the South Carolina House? That means that your representative, more than likely, voted him into the most powerful position in state government. You didn’t vote for him; your House member did.
With an ongoing Grand Jury investigation into his conduct, repeated attempts by the Speaker’s allies to pass laws to protect him, and the pending State Supreme Court hearing, it’s worth asking whether the Speaker can or should continue to hold that office.

Reponse to Dr. Mick Zais
- By Sheri Few - Republican Candidate, SC Superintendent of Education
Four years ago, Dr. Mick Zais was elected Education Superintendent on an anti-Common Core platform. Now, he’s supporting his deputy, Charmeka Childs, to succeed him after serving only one term. His letter last week in this newspaper is a lame attempt to rewrite history by blaming others for the failure of the Zais-Childs Team to stop Common Core.
It’s a failure that has driven my candidacy.
Dr. Zais and Mrs. Childs both claim they oppose Common Core, but actions speak louder than words because the two people most responsible for Common Core’s implementation in our state are Mick Zais and Charmeka Childs.

Who is Qualified to be Superintendent of South Caraolina?
- By Johnelle Raines - Pickens, SC
What qualities are needed to be an effective SC State Superintendent of Education? What makes for an ineffective one? Anyone who truly wants what is best for SC children needs to be answering those questions before voting for a candidate vying for the position of SC Superintendent.
I have, and would like to share my thoughts.
An effective Superintendent should be able to motivate and lead people, be trustworthy, be a good listener, communicate and work well with others, be flexible, have a sense of humor, be a continual learner, know how to set goals and accomplish them, have good morals, be a problem solver, a critical thinker and most importantly be asking the question, “What is best for SC children?” After working with Sheri Few for well over a year in our grassroots efforts to stop the implementation of Common Core Standards in SC, she has proven she possesses all of the above qualities needed.
