More than 38 million ballots were cast before Election Day arrived this year, shattering the midterm election record for early voting. That was nearly double the level of early voting in the last midterm election, in 2014, when 21 million voted early.
Yet few genuinely benefit from this early voting fad, except political machines and the better-funded candidates. That means early voting boosts the Democrats, who held an enormous fundraising advantage this year along with their political machine that has long dominated Chicago and other big cities.
The Democratic Party has won control of the House of Representatives. Its members effectively will be able to block all legislation that the Senate passes and the president wants. They also will be able to unleash their subpoena power mercilessly on the executive branch. Will the members of the new majority view their victory primarily as an opportunity to legislate or as a chance to investigate?
Here is the back story.
Tigerville, SC - Dr. Jeff Briggs, currently acting dean of NGU’s College of Business & Sport Professions and chair of the Department of Sport Management, has been named the founding dean of the new College of Wellness & Sport Professions effective January 1, 2019.
The new College of Wellness & Sport Professions will include three undergraduate degree programs: sport management with concentrations in business, coaching, and ministry; physical education which includes the service program and the pending K-12 certification program; and outdoor leadership.
The Bob Jones University Bruins intercollegiate computer programming teams placed 1st, 5th and 15th in the annual programming contest at the Consortium for Computing Sciences in Colleges (CCSC) Southeastern Region conference held Saturday, Nov. 3, at Roanoke College in Salem, Virginia.
BJU fielded three teams in the 21 team competition. The contest problem set consisted of nine problems and students had three hours to solve them. Nathan Collins and Sam Henry (BJU Team A) solved all nine problems and finished first. The team of Zac Hayes, Ryan Longacre, and Jeremiah England (BJU Team B) finished fifth and solved five problems.
No matter how politically fractured the nation may seem, I believe that liberty-loving citizens of all ideologies can unite and agree:
Billionaire Nanny Michael Bloomberg -- the soda-taxing, gun-grabbing, snack-attacking control freak -- should keep his nose out of our lives and out of the 2020 presidential race.
On the eve of the midterms, the former New York City mayor dumped $5 million into a self-serving ad bashing President Donald Trump, promoting Democrats, decrying border enforcement and preaching about a "higher purpose" in Washington.
DRESDEN, Ohio -- Why would the Motion Picture Association of America give an R rating to a faith-based movie with no profanity, no nudity, no sex, no gore, no torture, and no glamorized violence?
It's called censorship.
"The Reliant" stars Kevin Sorbo (Hercules), Brian Bosworth (The Longest Yard), Eric Roberts (The Dark Knight), The Benham Brothers (War Room), and Mollee Gray (High School Musical). Their website describes the story: "Economic collapse precipitates widespread rioting and looting, forcing a 21-year-old lovesick girl to care for siblings in a stretch of woods bordered by lawless anarchy, wondering why a good God would let this happen."
Did former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg just take a page out of the playbook of Sen. Ed Muskie from half a century ago?
In his first off-year election in 1970, President Richard Nixon ran a tough attack campaign to hold the 52 House seats the GOP had added in '66 and '68, and to pick up a few more seats in the Senate.
The issue: law and order. The targets: the "radical liberals."

On November 1, Greenville County Parks and Recreation representatives received a check for $42,000 to renovate the historic Slater Hall. The state funds were secured by Representatives Mike Burns and Dwight Loftis, Senator Tom Corbin, and Councilman Joe Dill.
Our nation is at war with itself. We pretend that our political competition is between Republicans and Democrats, however, it is not that simple. It is a battle that is as old as the world itself. It is a battle between good and evil that began in the Garden of Eden.
The advocates of evil are intentionally confusing the English language and calling evil good and good evil. Government schools are no longer teaching factual history; therefore, the younger generation of Americans do not know facts of history or have appreciation for the sacrifices their ancestors made for them.
The South Carolina Republican Party released the following statement from State Chairman Drew McKissick today regarding former Attorney General Eric Holder's recent campaigning for Democrat Joe Cunningham in the 1st congressional district:
"Joe Cunningham has spent his entire campaign trying to fool the people of the lowcountry into thinking that he's some sort of a moderate, but now he's got Eric Holder, Obama's radical liberal Attorney General out campaigning for him. This is the same guy who joked about physical violence against Republicans", McKissick said.
"It's just more of the same two-face campaigning we get from other Democrats who want to pretend to be moderates, but then govern as extreme liberals. South Carolina voters are smart, and no amount of playing moderate "dress-up" is going to fool them on Election Day."
Tigerville, SC - The North Greenville University (NGU) Office of Academic Affairs announced Monday that new administrative changes are coming.

All three appointments are effective January 1, 2019.
Arizona Democratic Senate candidate Kyrsten Sinema was given a boost Thursday when the Green Party’s candidate dropped out and endorsed her — a move that could give Sinema an edge over Republican Martha McSally in an airtight race.
“I want [supporters] to vote for a better Arizona, and that would be for Kyrsten Sinema,” third-party candidate Angela Green told 12 News. “After watching the debates and seeing everything, Sinema’s stance on a lot of things are very similar to mine.”

The decision, coming just days away from Tuesday’s midterm election, shakes up the already close race — where polling has been particularly volatile.
A Fox News poll released this week had the race at a tie, while an ABC 15/OH Predictive Insights poll had McSally ahead by 7. On the flip side, an NBC News/Marist poll had Sinema ahead by 6 in a head-to-head, but that lead cut to 3 when factoring in Green — who polled at 6 percent. The Real Clear Politics average of recent polls has Sinema ahead by 0.7 percent

If you don't think the political left is conspiring to smear President Trump, his supporters and the GOP as racists, then you probably haven't been paying close enough attention.
I'm aware of the preferred school of thought that says targets of false political accusations shouldn't take the bait and respond, the rationale being that defensiveness just makes them sound guilty and calls undue attention to the charge.
I might buy that argument if I hadn't witnessed the success of the left's relentless decadeslong assault. I've encountered too many people who've bought into this wicked lie.
Among the reasons Donald Trump is president is that his natural political instincts are superior to those of any other current figure.
As campaign 2018 entered its final week, Trump seized upon and elevated the single issue that most energizes his populist base and most convulses our media elite.
Warning of an "invasion," he pointed to the migrant caravan that had come out of Honduras and was wending its way through Mexico. He then threatened to issue an executive order ending birthright citizenship.
Digital technology has become ubiquitous in our society. It is in our cars, our houses, our workplace, and delivers our entertainment. But a question that we as homeschoolers must face is to what extent we need digital technology in our education process. On the one hand we can extol the virtues of digital platforms, but they also come with some inherent dangers and risks. If we ban the use of digital technologies, we put our kids at a distinct disadvantage when they are older and must interact with the digital world. However, if we totally embrace digital technology, we find we are enabling a harmful environment into our family--an environment that can cause physical, emotional, and spiritual harm for our kids.
Healthcare is the political football of the midterm elections. But unlike the game of football, there are no rules. And the goal is to win – not for the benefit of the team (the voters) but to gain status and power. Politicians are looking for a sound bite that catapults them into the spotlight. Spartacus was a dud. People like free stuff. Let’s try Medicare-for-All! Of course, the ads won’t mention that taxes will be doubled and private health insurance is essentially outlawed.
The truth about the tragedy of Andersonville is much different from the propaganda version that prevailed after the Civil War and still flourishes in politically correct media.
Near the tiny village of Andersonville, Georgia, are 13,714 graves, a testament to one of the greatest tragedies of the Civil War and of American history. In fourteen months of 1864 and 1865, nearly 13,000 Union prisoners of war died there of malnutrition, disease, and despair. Union propagandists then and still today have branded it an atrocity. But what is the truth?
NORFOLK, Va. -- In 2011, E.W. Jackson released a viral video titled "Exodus Now," which called upon black voters to exit the Democrat Party. Today, he has launched another video with the same emphasis. Says the Bishop, "We call on black Christians to stop allowing liberals to ride their backs into office."
That is a question for the ages, isn’t it? Most of us, I’m sure, have heard that term used our entire lives as Christians and as Constitutional Patriots. But what is “Divine Providence”, really, and has it changed the course of mankind’s history over the ages? The Christian blog, “GOT QUESTIONS”, answers the question, “What is Divine Providence?” as follows:
“Divine Providence is the governance of God by which He, with wisdom and love, cares for and directs all things in the universe. The Doctrine of Divine Providence asserts that God is in complete control of ALL things. He is sovereign over the universe as a whole (Psalm 103-19), the physical world (Matthew 5:45), the affairs of nations (Psalm 66:7), human destiny (Galatians 1:15), human successes and failures (Luke 1:52), and the protection of His people (Psalm 4:8). This doctrine stands in direct opposition to the idea that the universe is governed by chance or fate.”
In describing the GOP tax cuts, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi said that they and bonuses American workers were getting were "crumbs." They were "tax cuts for the rich." Some argued that the tax cuts would reduce revenues. Pelosi predicted, "This thing will explode the deficit." How about some tax facts?
