Israel Needs Us
- By Frank Hall - Greenville, SC
Exodus 32:35 contains an interesting principle, one that all Americans should know and apply in their lives today: “And the LORD plagued the people, because they made the calf, which Aaron made.” Critics of the Bible would probably jump on that and say, “Wait a minute, who‘made the calf, the people or Aaron?" If they would think about it for a few seconds they could answer their own question, and not go off on some idiotic tangent. Moses had been up on Mount Sinai, receiving the commandments from God. The Children of Israel got impatient for his return. They broke off their earrings, donated them to Aaron, and asked him to make them a god. Without their participation Aaron could not have made the golden calf. God held them both equally responsible.

Let's Preserve the Historic Flour Mill on Hwy. 101 Near Cool Creek Rd.
- By Barbara Wilson - Greenville, SC
Dear Citizens and Entrepreneurs of Greer:
Many of us in Greenville County have driven by and admired that old majestic flour mill on Hwy 101, near the Cool Creek Road intersection. I wonder who used to own it, and what was its name? When was it built? Was it functioning during the Civil War era, and maybe feeding troops? Citizens, this is a rare historical landmark, and should surely be preserved! It is rare to see an original iron water wheel still attached to the flour mill! That high water wheel is the biggest I've ever seen!

The 'Redistributing' of Other Peoples' Money by Obama
- By James Aldridge - Anderson, SC
Obama is the epitome of what often happens to a politician after he or she gets elected. Historically, Americans have been disappointed by politicians in both Parties who have campaigned to right past wrongs; and then, after getting to Washington, forget their promises and become concerned, primarily, with retaining the money (a Senator earns $193,400 for part-time work), power and perks which they quickly become accustomed to. As Gary Mauser, professor emeritus at Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, British Columbia, says in NRA's December's America’s First Freedom magazine, “Politics is about promises, not the delivery of those promises.”

REWA Procurement
- By Edward Sloan - Greenville, SC
Re: Renewable Water Resources, REWA (recently Western Carolina Regional Sewer Authority), its procurement of construction services for its planned $40 million Piedmont Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant, selecting its source of that procurement without using competitive sealed bidding
In 1925, following a lawsuit about the City polluting Conestee Lake with raw sewage, the General Assembly's Act 362 created Greater Greenville Sewer District as a special purpose district. 85 years later, the Authority has evolved to become REWA, operating in three counties, spending $62 million a year on operations, governed by a Commission of nine Commissioners.

Friends of House District 17
- By Tom Corbin
Six months ago I felt God's calling to take a stand for Christian morals, beliefs and family values. I believed that he was leading me to run for SC House District 17. With the support of my family and friends I began the process of running for office. Immediately I was received by others with encouragement and approval. On March 15, I held my campaign announcement at Clearview Baptist Church's Family Life Center. I was amazed as over 100 family, friends, and acquaintances gathered to hear my declaration for office.

Why the Obama Lies Prevailed
- By John H. Utz - Greenville, SC
It is impossible to understand just how all the Obama, Pelosi, Reid, et al, lies prevailed, in the recent passage of Health Care Reform. The lies regarding ‘reducing the deficit,’ health care for all, the ‘straw men,’ the CBO shenanigans, etc. Just how could all their lies prevail??
Well, their lies prevailed just as the neocon Cheney/Bush lies prevailed in the unconstitutional war against Iraq (weapons of mass destruction, nation-building, etc.), and Afghanistan (the Taliban, friends of our enemy, are our enemy!, though they had nothing to do with 9/11). Who knows into what countries the neocons (Project For a New American Century) will chase the ghosts of the Taliban and Al Qaeda?

We Need More Active Young People In The Tea Parties
- By Prentiss & Christiana Kendall - Greenville, SC (19 & 21 year old daughters of Dr. Thomas Kendall)
First off, I would like to say thank-you to those of you who were able to come out to the TEA Party on April 17th at the Bi-Lo Center. We really appreciated it! We know God is sovereign and that He is still in control; He has blessed America over the past 400 years, but we have been commanded to be, and must remain faithfully occupied. We have watched America give over our freedoms right in front of the people.
Don't you realize this is important? This affects you, your children and grandchildren... the future of America.
