Panamas President Rejects Trumps Plan to Retake Panama Canal

(Worthy News) – Panama’s President José Raúl Mulino firmly rejected President Donald Trump’s inaugural claim that the U.S. would “take back” control of the Panama Canal.

“We gave it to Panama and we’re taking it back,” Trump declared in his inaugural address. He accused the Panamanian government of disregarding U.S. interests, overcharging American ships — including U.S. Navy vessels — and effectively handing control of the crucial maritime route between the Pacific and Caribbean to China.

Even though the Christmas season has passed, I know that the readers of The Times Examiner, many of whom are supporters of our new President  #47, Donald Trump, will appreciate the sentiments and the wit of the author, Tony Olson, who writes regularly on gemstatepatriot.com/blog.  A slightly different version was published on Jan. 16, 2017 by 100percentfedup.com.  I trust that you will get as much of a “chuckle” from it as I did. What's going on here? Who has set up this counseling session? After a few minutes of bickering, George leaves to go home so that he can watch a basketball game on TV, leaving a weepy Judy all alone in the otherwise dark, vacant church – but not for long.

California Wildfires: Climate Change Symptom, or Consequence of Bad Policy?

Climate Change Symptom or Consequence of Bad Policy

Southern California wildfires continue to blaze out of control, besieging the Los Angeles basin from the north and west. Fire hydrants in Pacific Palisades, Altadena, and elsewhere ran dry as firemen strove to defend entire neighborhoods all at once. Hurricane-force winds and an unusually dry winter have already taken 10 lives and destroyed thousands of buildings — including celebrity homes — in what may be the costliest wildfire season to date.

Some celebrities have vented their frustration against the governing officials who presided over this disaster. “We pay the highest taxes in California,” complained actress Sara Foster. “Our fire hydrants were empty. Our vegetation was overgrown, brush not cleared. Our reservoirs were emptied by our governor because tribal leaders wanted to save fish. Our fire department budget was cut by our mayor.” Sarah Michelle Gellar wrote, “City of LA you want everyone to evacuate yet you have complete gridlock and not one traffic cop on the roads helping.”

A “progressive” gang of orcs and goblins just pulled down Robert E. Lee’s statue in Richmond. None of those filthy miscreants would have been fit, morally or intellectually, to kiss the General’s muddy boot. What those fools don’t realize – amid their devilish celebratory glee – is that history – God’s Providence – is now changing course.

Battered from without; betrayed from within – the South – with its hated Christian conservatism – lives on. As the illegitimate, inept and tyrannical Biden regime implodes on the world’s stage, Texas and Florida are leading true, red America out of the evil, Marxist-atheist, Yankee empire.

Chinas Invasion Barges Signal Potential Invasion of Taiwan

(Worthy News) – China is reportedly building “D-Day style” landing barges specifically designed to deploy People’s Liberation Army (PLA) vehicles onto Taiwanese beaches, suggesting preparations for a potential full-scale invasion, according to the UK Telegraph.

Naval News reported that up to five landing barges are under construction at Guangzhou Shipyard in southern China. Resembling the Mulberry Harbours from the World War II Normandy invasion, these barges feature novel designs and rapid construction. Although a smaller prototype surfaced in 2022, the current batch has only recently appeared.

Since 2022, China has developed landing barges that can be built in months, providing a key capability to connect nearly any ship to the shore.

From Tariffs to Territory Trumps Expansionist American Vision

Over the past month, President-elect Donald Trump has proposed annexing Greenland, admitting Canada to the American union, and reassuming control of the Panama Canal. To some, these proposals are jarring or confusing, and the left-wing media is only too happy to frame Trump — per usual — as a power-hungry, wannabe dictator. To find the truth, we must dig deeper.

Threats

When Donald Trump takes the oath of office on January 20, he will inherit a more dangerous world than he did in 2017. Not only are America’s adversaries more aggressive, but President Joe Biden has retreated from many of Trump’s foreign policy successes, leaving America weaker on the world stage.

Elijah was one of the greatest prophets in Judeo-Christian Scripture. He arrived in Biblical history during the reign of Ahab (874-853 BC) over the northern Kingdom of Israel, which had split from the Kingdom of Judah after the death of Solomon in 930 BC. Ahab, whose capital was in Samaria, was the seventh king of Israel and is described in 1 Kings 16: 30-33 as being by far the most wicked and ungodly of the seven.

“Ahab son of Omri did more evil in the eyes of the Lord than any of those before him.He not only considered it trivial to commit the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, but he also married Jezebel daughter of Ethbaal king of the Sidonians, and began to serve Baal and worship him.He set up an altar for Baal in the temple of Baal that he built in Samaria. Ahab also made an Asherah pole and did more to arouse the anger of the Lord, the God of Israel, than did all the kings of Israel before him.”

“Word soon spread up and down the river that Andria village had actually attacked an Enforcer installation and had killed all 98 of the enemy in it.  We all knew that this bold action would put Andria on the Overmasters’ short ‘kill list’, for they were well known for the retribution they always practiced on individuals, clans, or in this case an entire village—who dared to defy them.  Two days later the Lees met with the entire village, men, women, older teens, to discuss our possibilities and course of action.  Some families were so terrified of Enforcer revenge that they loaded what they could on their horse carts and left Andria quickly.  A few families decided to retreat deep into the forest in hopes of hiding from the Enforcers for an extended time.  But most of us, numbering about 700 people, decided by open vote to stay and fight our enemies, even though we knew there was little chance that we could continue to resist them for long.

Evolutionists claim what is called atavism as evidence for universal common descent.  However, the designation often presupposes universal common descent. For example, in our investigation of it, see previous articles, we have seen several cases where these features are more likely than not simply birth defects or genetic defects. Furthermore, in cases where they may actually qualify as atavisms only qualify as evidence for universal common descent if it is assumed.

Victory for Women and Girls as Court Erases Radical Title IX Rewrite

A federal court put the final nail in the coffin of the Biden Administration’s attempt to radically redefine “sex” on January 9, 2025, when it struck down the Title IX regulations proposed by the outgoing Department of Education.

“This is a clear victory for students, parents, teachers, and the First Amendment,” said Eagle Forum President Kris Ullman. “We are grateful that the Court recognized that by redefining ‘sex’ to include ‘gender identity,’ the Biden Administration had overstepped its authority and gutted the original meaning of the statute. Now all schools must return protections to women and girls in athletics and academics. Students and teachers will no longer face discrimination charges for the fake crime of ‘using the wrong pronouns.’ Our daughters can once again be guaranteed privacy in bathrooms and locker rooms. Parents no longer can be told that federal law prevents them from knowing if schools are secretly fostering their children’s ‘transition.’”

McDonalds Walks Away from Super Sized Wokeness

The calendar may have changed, but 2025 is picking up right where last year left off in the battle against corporate wokeness. In the biggest shocker since Walmart, fast-food icon McDonald’s announced that after years of force-feeding DEI to shareholders and customers, political neutrality is back on the menu.

For activists, the news is even more astonishing since the Golden Arches had a perfect 100% score on LGBT activism from the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) just last year. But, like so many boardrooms before it, McDonald’s decided to surrender before Robby Starbuck even declared war. In a letter made public Monday, the hamburger chain announced to their owner/operators, employees, and suppliers that this new year meant turning a new leaf on diversity. Although they declare their steadfast commitment to “inclusion,” Chairman and CEO Chris Kempczinski, along with McDonald’s top leaders, spent the final half of the letter explaining that they’ve identified practices that they intend to “modify,” including:

  • Corporate Wokeness
