WASHINGTON -- A coalition of individuals and organizations dedicated to freedom of religion is urging President Trump to take action against United Nations' overreach.
Institute on Religion and Democracy President Mark Tooley joins leaders representing the Heritage Foundation, Concerned Women for America, the Ethics and Public Policy Center, the Family Research Council and others in expressing concern to President Donald Trump about the February 27 report of the U.N. Special Rapporteur on Freedom of Religion or Belief, Ahmed Shaheed, to the U.N. Human Rights Council.
Where Barack Obama achieved notoriety for "leading from behind," Joe Biden, these last two months, has been leading from the basement.
And, one must add, doing so quite successfully.
Since his rout of Bernie Sanders on Super Tuesday, Biden has led President Donald Trump in every national poll and, lately, opened up a lead in Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Florida. One poll has him tied with Trump in Texas.
The Department of Education just released results of the quadrennial National Assessment of Educational Progress tests in U.S. history, civics and geography given in 2018 to thousands of American eighth-graders: "Grade 8 Students' NAEP Scores Decline in Geography and U.S. History; Results in Civics Unchanged Since 2014."
The South Carolina Air National Guard Swamp Fox Pilots conducted a flyover to honor the States Medical Professionals and first responders.
Americans can sign-up now to join this historic, nationwide event on May 7
PHOENIX -- The Presidential Prayer Team, the national, nonpartisan prayer ministry for America and its leaders, announced today that it will host the largest virtual prayer event in the nation's history on the National Day of Prayer on May 7, 2020. The event will allow participants to unite online, pray together for the leadership of our country and be part of the largest collective prayer event in US history.
At Appomattox Courthouse in April of 1865, an Alabama soldier by the name of Zeb Thompson stood, rifle by his side, within a stone’s throw of General Robert E. Lee when he yielded his sword to General Grant. Thompson had participated in many of the greatest battles of the War during his service to the Confederacy and had been wounded three times. Thompson, like several other Confederate soldiers looking on, was a black man. Also there was Private Needham Leach, one of two blacks, and ten whites left in Company C of the 53rd North Carolina Regiment. These were just a few of at least 50,000 and as many as 100,000 black slaves and freemen who served the Confederate cause in some military or naval capacity. Thompson indicated in his 1917 interview with the Birmingham Age-Herald that he had attended every Confederate reunion and was very proud of his war record.
I could also have stated in this article’s title that “THE REPUBLICAN PARTY ISN’T MUCH BETTER”! But for now I’ll proceed with this condemnation of The Klan of New Bolsheviks (formerly called the ‘Democrat Party’), at the risk of offending a sizeable portion of our American electorate. I ask my readers to keep in mind the old truism that often “the truth hurts”, and if that truth offends those of you who are perennial Democrats, so be it. As the long-suffering Capt. Rhett Butler finally admitted at the end of Gone With The Wind, “Frankly, my dear, I don’t give a …..” Well, I assume you can finish his memorable quote, which adequately expresses my ‘concerns’ over whether or not you who call yourselves faithful Democrats (or as I charitably call you—“Dumbocrats”) can make any kind of logical counter-arguments to my contentions.
Bob Jones University President Steve Pettit will deliver a “State of the University” address on Friday, May 8, at 2 p.m. via webcast at www.bju.edu/live.
The timing of the president’s address coincides with what would have been the 2020 Commencement Exercises for the current academic year. Pettit is encouraging University friends, students, faculty and staff to view the virtual address.
As of the above date, North Carolina had 11,694 cases of the Wuhan coronavirus. Of these, 422 had died. There were 475 still hospitalized. The number tested has risen to 143,875.
The state has 3,018 ventilators, of which 661 were in use for coronavirus or other medical uses on May 3.
Alton, Ill. — Episode five of the FX/Hulu limited series, Mrs. America, once again rewrites history in a deliberate effort to defame Eagle Forum founder and President, Phyllis Schlafly.
The episode released this week centers around a debate about the Equal Rights Amendment between two couples, Fred and Phyllis Schlafly, who opposed the Amendment and Marc and Brenda Feigen-Fastau, who supported the Amendment. The debate happened, but not as Mrs. America producers depicted.
There is no question – We are at WAR – not just with the coronavirus, but with those in our nation (and elsewhere) who hate the America you and I grew up in. They think they are wiser, not only than our Founding Fathers, but also wiser than the God who created the world they live on. I am reading, actually rereading, a book published about five years ago, titled "The Babylon Code". The two young men who wrote this book – Paul McGuire and Troy Anderson – spent five years researching what needed to be said.
We live in a time when many people are so partisan that their views are easy to predict based solely on their political persuasion. If you're a hardcore Republican, you're pretty sure hydroxychloroquine is a solid treatment for COVID-19, and if you're a big-time Democrat, you know hydroxychloroquine is ineffective and even dangerous. Our system is so partisan that nothing is beyond politics -- even our choice of medicines.
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- Friends of D. James Kennedy Ministries gave President Donald Trump high trust marks in its 2020 Spiritual and Constitutional State of the Nation Survey.
Nearly 8 in 10 people who answered the survey-an annual gauge of Christian opinion on key issues and concerns-said they trusted the president. In contrast, just over 1 in 10 indicated confidence in Congress and half of respondents said they trusted pastors.
What are we to make of the dire predictions of President Donald Trump's political doom -- that he doesn't stand a chance for reelection in November?
I've read numerous mainstream media reports gloating over polls that show presumed Democratic nominee Joe Biden surging and Trump plummeting. I'm not one to casually dismiss polls, but I view them skeptically, especially given their poor track record in more recent elections, and pollsters' brazen manipulation of them to sway public opinion.
As of April 30, the coronavirus pandemic has killed 61,500 Americans in two months and induced the worst economic collapse since the Great Depression.
And if history is our guide, the economic crisis, which has produced 30 million unemployed Americans in six weeks, may prove more enduring, ruinous and historic than the still-rising and tragic death toll.

SAN FRANCISCO -- After months of legal arguments, a final judgment has been released in the Planned Parenthood Federation of America, et al v. Center for Medical Progress, et al, baby parts case. In November, a jury found pro-life defendants liable for violations of RICO, and a host of other laws.
As the Coronavirus quarantine is underway, the Trump administration has taken extra precautions to protect Americans, one being the suspension of some immigration programs. On April 20th, President Trump tweeted his intentions of signing an executive order to temporarily suspend immigration to protect American jobs. Two days later, the text was released and was much narrower than expected.
Old versus New. Trump's Border Wall replaced a border fence.
In lieu of a traditional graduation ceremony, Bob Jones Academy will hold a drive-through graduation Thursday, May 14, at 2 p.m. in front of the main Academy building.

Forget falling asleep on the job. Joe Biden is falling asleep applying for it! In a virtual event with Hillary Clinton Tuesday, the former vice president was so disinterested that he seemed to close his eyes and nod off. But amazingly, that wasn't the most concerning thing about the "Women's Townhall on COVID-19." Biden's abortion views were. And unfortunately, no one's been able to open his eyes on those either.
A 115 mph tornado sliced a path from east of Montebello community off of North Pleasantburg Drive all the way to East North Street in Taylors on Saturday night, April 25. In one night, there were three consecutive tornado warnings. This tornado was classified an EF2 out of a scale of EF5. Botany Woods subdivision appeared to be the epic-center of damage.
Surprisingly no one was hurt or no death.
'Retirement Reformation' movement launches 'COVID-19 Senior Challenge,' as poll reveals almost half of Americans 'anxious'
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- The founder of a movement to inject purpose into the lives of America's retirees today challenged seniors to take the lead in the battle against coronavirus-induced anxiety and panic.
The Great Toilet Paper Scare of 2020 has come to end, but don't breathe a sigh of relief just yet. The Spring Meat Stampede is here.
At my local Costco in Colorado Springs on Monday, fresh chicken breast was nowhere to be found. Nationwide, bacon prices doubled. Wholesale pork prices for ham, ribs and loins rose between 12% and 32% over the last seven days. COVID-19 outbreaks among the nation's major meat processing plants have shut down nearly 20% of the country's fresh pork production.
We’re all homeschoolers now. Schools have closed for more than 55 million students nationwide, and at least 34 states have shuttered schools for the rest of the academic year. Just in time, our media and academic elites are coming out swinging against homeschooling.
Is America, in lockdown, with 26 million unemployed and entering a new depression, up for a confrontation and Cold War with China?
For that appears to be where the GOP wishes to lead us.
According to Politico, a 57-page memo from Mitch McConnell's senatorial committee instructs GOP candidates to blame the coronavirus pandemic on China, commit to stand up to China, end U.S. dependence on Chinese manufacturing and tell voters "my opponent is soft on China."
