Dems at the End of Their Trope
- By Tony Perkins
They’ve been one of the Democrats’ most reliable constituencies, but there are probably a lot of Jewish Americans who went to bed last night with some deep misgivings about the party they call home. Duncan Opposes Democrat Takeover of Elections
- By US Rep. Jeff Duncan's Office
Washington, D.C. – Congressman Jeff Duncan (SC-03) released the following statement after opposing H.R. 1, the so-called “For the People Act.”
“Do not be fooled by the title of H.R. 1 which passed the House of Representatives today. The “For the People Act” would be more appropriately named “For the Democrats Act.” This bill is a wolf in sheep’s clothing and an attempted power grab by House Democrats to centralize power in one place – Washington – and as far away from the people’s hands as possible. This bill imposes dangerous limits on free speech, provides government subsidies for campaigns, implements unconstitutional mandates, and weaponizes the Federal Election Commission (FEC) against conservatives.

- By The Nerve
Lawmakers have now created two separate committees to explore the sale of state-owned utility Santee Cooper. One of those committees (formed by the Senate) met last Tuesday and requested to spend roughly $193,000 to gather more information before taking official action. In light of this reluctance to move toward a sale, it’s important to remember that lawmakers are not just discussing the future of a state-owned public utility, but that Santee Cooper also functions as an economic development machine for the state.
