INDEPENDENT CONSERVATIVE VOICE OF UPSTATE SOUTH CAROLINA

INDEPENDENT CONSERVATIVE VOICE OF
UPSTATE SOUTH CAROLINA

More than anytime in my lifetime, the upcoming elections involve not just flesh and blood, but the spiritual realm. Many issues at stake involve clear-cut battles involving good and evil. That is not to say that all of the choices are clear, because they are not. There are many gray areas, where voters must use the uncommon ability to apply common sense. For the Christian, decisions should be easier, because Christians have the Scripture and the Holy Spirit as advisers.

I do not claim to be a Biblical scholar, for I am not. I do know a little about spiritual warfare from personal experience. Just because we do not see it with the natural eye, does not prove that it does not exists. It is very clear to many that satanic spirits are involved in some aspects of our election process. The powers of darkness are influencing those who are aiding and abetting those who would destroy Israel. The same forces are attempting to stamp out Christianity in our country and are slaughtering Christians in other countries with no response by our government.

Two high-profile issues, abortion and marriage between a man and a woman, should be easy decisions for any moral person and a “no-brainer” for anyone claiming to be a Christian.

Then we have the “hair splitters” who would “throw away the baby with the bath water.” What about the candidate who would make an exception for rape and incest? Isn’t it as bad to kill one unborn child as a million?

In my view, this is where some judgment has to be applied. The question is: Is it better to reject an imperfect candidate who is opposed to most abortions than to contribute to the election of one who will have no restrictions on abortions and will use your tax money to pay for them throughout the world?

Due to my training and background, I must comment on the upcoming presidential election and National Defense. We have a clear choice in this election. Four more years of the current president and our military capability to influence events in the world and maintain our independence will be gone. I have no doubt about that. At this moment the ability of the U. S. military to remain a viable fighting force is being undermined from within and without. The cuts planned by the current regime will reduce us to pre-WW II levels on weapons and forces.

The Republican candidate will be forced to make cuts in the military, but there are many wasteful, costly programs that are being pursued by the current regime that must be eliminated. One example is the Navy Green program to develop ships and planes to operate using fuel made from plant and animal products. This is insane if not satanic.

The administration is lying to troops about benefits. The cuts already in the plans will be devastating.

All of the predicted horrors of announcing our withdrawal from both Iraq and Afghanistan to the enemy are coming true. The Government of Iraq is being undermined and the Afghanistan forces we are training are murdering our troops as we draw down the forces. This will only get worse as time goes on.

The administration has allowed an Ambassador to be murdered with no repercussions to the killers. This administration is clearly favoring the Muslim Brotherhood at home and abroad. This involves spiritual warfare at its fundamental worst. These folks are on record determined to destroy all Jews and believers in Jesus Christ.

Spiritual weapons are necessary to engage the enemy in spiritual warfare. This will require the remnant of the true church to employ those spiritual weapons backed by prayer without ceasing.  All things are possible through Jesus Christ. We have a promise, but there are requirements that we as a nation and the church have not yet met.

II Chronicles 7:14 KJV: If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
