The Idaho Murders: When Justice Fails
- Details
- By Joseph M. Bianchi
Over the past few decades Americans have been inundated with the news of violent crimes. It has gotten to a point that when a new horrific crime is announced in the news cycle, it is greeted with a shrug or yawn.
Such, however, was not the case when four University of Idaho students were brutally murdered in the early hour of November 13, 2022.
The four students, Kaylee Goncalves, Madison Mogen, Xana Kernodle, and Ethan Chapin were viciously stabbed to death while they slept in an off-campus housing. However, one of the students, Xana Kernodle, appeared to have fought back as many of her wounds were defensive.
Pope Frances’ Difficult Legacy

Pope Francis has passed away—and the world mourns.
Prime ministers, Presidents, Kings and Queens were quick to send their condolences to the Vatican and the over 2 billion Catholics who called him their pastor and Vicar of Christ on earth.
But Francis’ legacy is a very difficult one; a legacy that many see him as a trailblazer for progressive causes and the poor, while others bewail what they saw as a Pope with heterodox theological standards.
The real issue for faithful Catholics is: did this Pope represent the Christian faith accurately to the world at large.
It’s Time for America’s Relationship with Ukraine to Change—How about a Divorce?

The war in Ukraine has dragged on now for some three years. The United States has stood by Ukraine and the Zelensky government with both armaments and finances, to the tune of $350 Billion.
For a moment, let’s put aside who attacked who and the reasons for the war. When one ally is helping a smaller ally to help its country to survive, there should be a degree of decorum and thankfulness. Such was not the case when Mr. Zelensky visited Washington this past Friday. Zelensky’s disrespect and lack of thankfulness to America and Trump was on full display to the whole world via the media. In an extraordinary exchange, Trump and Zelensky made their disagreements public. One would have to think that the President knew what was coming, and wanted to be sure the American people saw what he and his administration must deal with.
Why All Support to Ukraine Must Stop

A Ukraine in the Russian orbit that could pose a death knell to Europe. Russian tanks rumbling through the streets of Warsaw on their way to Berlin—and then other capitals. A world held hostage by Russian hegemony.
These are only a few of the absurdities pressed upon a watching American public as the lame duck president Joe Biden rushes to send military hardware and financial help to Zelensky’s Ukraine before the new administration may suspend it.
And why so?
America: Chronicles of a Dying Society

In the twilight of the 18th Century a country was born unique in all the world. From a rag-tag group of settlers and those fleeing religious persecution, came a union of individual states, each with their own culture and identity.
America was born out of ideas and ideals so rarified, that history itself had to be rewritten.
It was not as if there weren’t stresses and strains, debates and conflicts, but all were part of the mix that produced the final product. There were indeed major issues to grapple with as the industrial North and the agrarian South eyed each other warily, until open warfare broke out nearly shattering its soul.
