So, You Want To Know My Thoughts On Trump...

My message today may not be a popular one, but it’s time to address the elephant in the room, and I’ll attempt to do it in a fair and balanced way. I want to talk about Donald Trump. I realize I’m walking on thin ice here, because he’s one of — if not the — most polarizing figures in all of American political history. Critics have an unreasonable and largely unsubstantiated hatred for Trump, which has come to be known as “Trump Derangement Syndrome” or “TDS.” Meanwhile, many of his supporters believe he can do no wrong, and are willing to overlook anything he does that they don’t agree with, because after all, he’s “saved us” from the Communist Left.
All Things Work Together For Good

In my previous two messages, I’ve shared the history of how Wisconsin Christian News came to be. Because we’re now praising the Lord for the start of our 27th year of publishing, I wanted to share with you what this journey has been like.
I’d gotten our first edition of the newspaper printed in April of 2000. But my idea of the ministry being immediately blessed of God quickly evaporated, along with all the “encouragement” I’d previously received from pastors and other ministry leaders. In “theory,” they were all behind the idea. But now that I’d actually done what I said I was going to do, few could be bothered with it.
My Walk In the Wilderness

In my last message, I began telling the story of how our ministry, Wisconsin Christian News came to be. How I initially fought God on the idea, how He continued to work to press me into service, until I finally accepted the mission He was calling me to.
But this is a three-part message, because there’s so much to share, and I was only able to give you the “back story” in part one — what I was doing when God called me to this work, and how I finally came to submit to His will. If you missed that message, you can find it on our website. I’m sharing this story because we’re now starting our 27th year of publication. “On paper,” there’s no way Wisconsin Christian News should ever have survived. But God made a way, and here we are, all these years later. So now, I’ll tell you about my walk in the wilderness.
God’s Lifeboat Is More Than Half Empty

This month marks another anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic. For generations, this tragic story has captivated hearts and minds. The loss of the Titanic left a shaken world in disbelief and made people stop and think. I, personally, became deeply intrigued by the Titanic from the moment I learned of the story as a young child.
I believe this is one of those rare, historic events that provides a myriad of timeless lessons. The most obvious is the sinfulness of human pride and arrogance...clearly present in almost every aspect of the story.
