INDEPENDENT CONSERVATIVE VOICE OF
UPSTATE SOUTH CAROLINA

Six months ago I felt God's calling to take a stand for Christian morals, beliefs and family values. I believed that he was leading me to run for SC House District 17. With the support of my family and friends I began the process of running for office. Immediately I was received by others with encouragement and approval. On March 15, I held my campaign announcement at Clearview Baptist Church's Family Life Center. I was amazed as over 100 family, friends, and acquaintances gathered to hear my declaration for office.

Over the next 3 months I traveled the areas of District 17 meeting the many wonderful residents. Even after living in the area my entire life, I discovered neighborhoods and places I never knew existed. As I met more people the more evident it became to me that this was God's leading. On June 8, 2010, the voters of District 17 affirmed to me that I had followed God's call.

First of all, I would like to give all of the glory for the victory on June 8th to God, without Him it would not have been possible. As my wife and I were reflecting over the past 6 months we were in awe at God's working in our lives during this time. There were many situations, events, and even obstacles that could have only been overcome or solved through His workings. Secondly, I would like to thank all of the voters of district 17 for their resounding approval and vote of confidence. I would also like to thank all of the campaign volunteers that gave many hours of their time working within the campaign. I was blessed with many wonderful old and new friends that offered their time and talents. Lastly, I would like to thank all of the financial supporters of the campaign. Unfortunately, campaigns require money and we were blessed with many wonderful supporters.

As I look forward to the November election and the Democratic opposition, I ask that you continue to pray for me. As the Republican Nominee for SC House District 17 and hopefully the Representative for District 17, I promise that all of my decisions will be made under prayerful consideration and to stay true to my Christian beliefs and morals. If elected, I pledge to faithfully serve the people of District 17 with honor, dignity, and respect. Thank you again for your vote and your prayers.
Thanks Again!

Tom Corbin - SC House District 17 GOP Candidate
