CONSPIRACIES - Past, Present, Future (Part 1 of 2)
- By W.H. Lamb
“In politics, nothing happens by accident; if it happens you can bet it was planned that way.” (Attributed- probably inaccurately- to President Franklin Roosevelt.)
I assume that most of us are aware of the concept of “conspiracies” throughout world history, and we’ve probably heard that term used for much of our lives. Even today we hear the ridicule of political conspiracies, often from popular but ill-informed “talking head pundits” all over the political spectrum who love to attack and disparage “conspiracy theorists” (people who are convinced that there are genuine conspiracies among us at this very time, based on evidence they feel is compelling). The more politically astute and educated among us like to discuss the pros and cons regarding whether “conspiracies”—political or otherwise-- have existed in the past or exist now, and what has been the affect upon history of such activities. I suggest that the first order of investigation into “conspiracies” is to define the word:

The Christian Controversy over Islam
- By Mike Scruggs
A Time for Truth and Courage
“The media, academia, and the political and religious world of our decadent Western civilization see modern Islamic terrorism as an aberration, something at odds with true Islam, which they claim is a religion of peace. Their wishful thinking has no justification in the Quran, hadith [sayings of Muhammad], or Islam’s 1,400-year history.”—Luiz Sergio Solimeo, author of Islam and the Suicide of the West, published 2018
According to Solimeo, there are 164 verses in the Quran that advocate Jihad—holy war against all non-Muslims. According to Dr. Bill Warner (politicalislam.com), 31 percent of the content of the sacred writings of Islam including the Quran, the hadith, and approved Islamic histories of Muhammad are about Jihad, and less than two percent of this is not related to violence, deception, or supporting activities to achieve Islamic Supremacy.

Does America have A Christian Heritage or Not? Part 3 of 3
- By W.H. Lamb
President Harry Truman, crusty old Democrat that he was, said the following while he was POTUS: “This is a Christian nation. In this great country of ours has been demonstrated the fundamental unity of Christianity and democracy.” He was correct in the first part, and misleading at the end, since I’m certain that he knew that the U.S. was established as a Constitutional Republic, and purposely NOT as a “democracy”, which our wise Founders, from their Biblical knowledge and their study of history, regarded as one of the WORST forms of government, and they were correct about that. (Using the word “democracy” in any way to describe our REPUBLIC is semantically misleading at best, labels one as a mal-educated person, and is semantically incorrect, especially when used by those who should know better, or even worse—by those who have subversive and anti-constitutional republic agendas as their goal!)

Where Have All Our Heroes Gone
- By Ray Simmons
When I was young I used to hear
Of John Paul Jones and Paul Revere,
And the sad and solemn tale
Of liberty and Nathan Hale.
Across Kentuck with Boone I went,
And with Crockett to Alamo's great event.
Back then the stories still were told
Of chivalrous knights, daring, bold,
Who, with Arthur at the helm,
From Camelot fashioned England's realm.

The Consequences of Liberal Christianity Today
- By Mike Scruggs
Christianity and Liberalism are two different religions
On December 19, 2019, the once conservative evangelical magazine Christianity Today (CT) headlined an editorial written by its retiring chief editor, Mark Galli:
“Trump Should Be Removed from Office”
CT was founded by Billy Graham in 1956. Long ago, I once subscribed to it but found after several years that it was becoming a “liberal” magazine increasingly distinct from traditional evangelical positions faithful to Scripture. As CT became more secularized in its Biblical interpretations, it also leaned increasingly toward the latest fashions of liberal politics. According to Wikipedia, another leftward drifting organization, CT reputedly has a circulation of 130,000. In Galli’s editorial, he implied that President Trump did not fit the ethical standard of CT founder Billy Graham.

Just Who Is This Jesus? An Exploration Into God’s Miracles
- By W.H. Lamb
“I see Him, but not now; I behold Him, but not near; A Star shall come out of Jacob; a Scepter shall rise out of Israel…” (Numbers 24:17). Considering that the Holy Spirit inspired Moses to write The Book of Numbers around 1500 years before our Lord Jesus was born among mankind, it’s obvious to us alive today who the “Star” that was to come out of Jacob was --- and the identity of the “Scepter” that would rise out of Israel. But to the descendants of Abraham, the people who would become known to history as “Jews”, as they wandered in the wilderness for around 40 years before God allowed them into what is today called “the Holy Land”, it may not have been so clear. To some “doubting Thomas’s” of this age, it’s still not clear!

British Conservative Voters Trounce Leftists
- By Mike Scruggs
Does It Foreshadow Big Trump Victory in 2020?
On December 12, British voters gave Boris Johnson’s agenda and the Conservative Party a substantial 365 seat majority of the 650 seats in the UK Parliament. Their victory over Jeremy Corbyn’s increasingly extreme leftist Labor Party was an astonishing 365 to 203. The Scottish Nationalist Party (SNP) also made a major advance picking up 13 seats for a total of 48. The Liberal Democrats continued their gradual decline to only 11 seats, now considerably smaller than the SNP. The pro-UK and pro-Brexit Democratic Unionist Party (DUP) of Northern Ireland was next with 8 seats. Eleven of the remaining 15 were separatist Irish and Welsh parties. The extreme leftist Green Party has only one seat.
