Congress Has a Laundry List of Tasks to Complete in a Short Amount of Time
- Details
- By Eagle Forum
Congress’s Jammed Schedule
Usually, in an election year, the House and Senate take it easy. Members are hesitant to move forward legislation that may be perceived as controversial in their districts or states so that they can retain their seats. However, this year is different. Congress has a long list of tasks that they have to check off. But with two recent resignations of Republican members, one expelled from Congress, and the House Majority Leader out receiving cancer treatment, the hope of passing conservative legislation seems nearly impossible.

Explainer: WHO's Pandemic Agreement Threatens National Sovereignty, Free Speech, and Life
- Details
- By Ben Johnson - The Washington Stand
Americans have just days left to weigh in on the Biden administration’s plan to adopt a dangerous international accord that gives the World Health Organization (WHO) greater control over the way the U.S. responds to global health pandemics like COVID-19.
As this article will demonstrate, the WHO Pandemic Agreement:
- Threatens national sovereignty;
- Equates the health of humans with animals and plants;
- Calls on nations to “combat” any “misinformation” that reduces “trust” in the government or its measures, such as social distancing;
- Would empower private-sector forces such as social media companies to ramp up censorship of disfavored viewpoints;
- Worries citizens will have “too much information” about pandemics;
- Supports quotas and “gender diversity”; and
- Aims to create equity-driven national health care systems around the globe.
To make matters worse, the Biden administration lobbied WHO to rename the Pandemic Treaty, so it can adopt the measure without the Senate’s ratification (which a treaty requires).

Religious Profiling of Chick-fil-A
- Details
- By Bill Donohue, President, Catholic League
The war on Chick-fil-A has been going on for years, though in recent times it seems to have dissipated. The typical complaint is that because it closes on Sundays—to allow its workers to spend time in church and with their family—this is an antiquated Christian model that should no longer be tolerated. The fast-food chain has been closed on Sundays since it first opened in 1946.
The war was reignited recently when two New York State lawmakers, Democratic Assemblyman Tony Simone and Democratic Senator Michelle Hinchey, co-sponsored legislation aimed at forcing the evangelical-run company to open its restaurants on Sundays along the New York Thruway. They are saying that closing one day a week along the 570-mile-long highway gravely inconveniences travelers.
SC Establishment Bringing Nancy Pelosi-Like Rules to SC
- Details

If you thought the incumbent protection pledge was bad, you won't believe what the RINOs are trying to do now.
For those who don't know, the moderate establishment kicked out the 16 most conservative members of the Republican Caucus for refusing to sign a soviet-style loyalty pledge.
Listen to Glenn Beck discuss the issue HERE.
The pledge sought to silence members of the SC Freedom Caucus by prohibiting us from posting photos of the public voting board, endorsing more conservative challengers, or informing the citizens about how members of the House break their campaign promises.
House Voting on Legislation to Stop China’s Takeover of American Manufacturing
- Details
- By Eagle Forum
This week, the U.S. House of Representatives will vote on legislation to nullify a rule that allows China to manufacture electric vehicle (EV) chargers. S.J. Res. 38 uses the Congressional Review Act to reign in the powers of bureaucrats who try to use the power of the pen to rewrite existing law. Our Representatives are taking action to protect American manufacturing through this process.
The Trump administration put America first by creating policies that move American businesses away from China and prioritizing American products. When Joe Biden saw that the American people wanted this, he rode President Trump’s coattails and introduced his “Buy American” campaign plan. Some of these policies were placed into the 2021 infrastructure bill, including requiring EV chargers to be made mostly of American-made materials. Now, he’s clawing those provisions back.
