Dems Not Party to Solutions on Police
- By Tony Perkins - Family Research Council
It was a floor speech for the ages. But someday, when history looks back on Senator Tim Scott's (R-S.C.) emotional words, the greatest tragedy will be that he had to deliver them at all. Like a lot of Americans, Tim assumed the other side of the aisle was serious about having a conversation on police reform. And, like a lot of Americans, he assumed wrong. Turns out, Democrats aren't here to fix our problems. In this crisis, they are the problem.

De Blasio and Cuomo Get Creamed in Court
- By Christian Newswire
NEW YORK -- Catholic League president Bill Donohue comments on a judicial decision just handed down that is of utmost importance to people of faith:
Protesters can take to the streets, some violently, and that is okay by Mayor Bill de Blasio and Gov. Andrew Cuomo—the mob does not have to abide by social distancing rules—but religious New Yorkers cannot congregate in their houses of worship lest they imperil the public health.

History in the Breaking

"Destroying history will not make you feel good about the present... Learning from it might." -- Victor David Hanson
When the Taliban burned down churches or destroyed artifacts, we called it barbaric. But when angry mobs tear down our statues and vandalize monuments, it's "justice?" There are things this country has witnessed over the last few weeks that will take a lifetime to understand. And even longer to get over. The image of great American heroes being toppled and cracked into pieces on the streets is just the latest chapter in this story of chaos the radicals are writing. But if the outrage from the White House is any indication, this administration is done letting cities feed the monster.

Prison Fellowship to Lawmakers: Act Now on Police and Justice Reform
- By Prison Fellowship
In the wake of nationwide protests in the United States and around the world, Prison Fellowship calls on lawmakers to 'be a voice for our brothers and sisters of color' and pass reform legislation.
WASHINGTON, the nation's largest Christian nonprofit serving prisoners, former prisoners, and their families, is issuing the following statements in response to pending police reform legislation in the House and the Senate:
"We mourn with our brothers and sisters of color for the lives unjustly lost, including George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and too many more," said James J. Ackerman, president and CEO of Prison Fellowship. "We call for police and justice reform that will both prevent misconduct and bring about meaningful accountability, while also recognizing the necessary and important role of an effective police force. We applaud the initial steps toward these goals through the President's Executive Order and the proposals offered by the Senate and the House. While no bill is yet in a form we can endorse, we pray members of Congress will lean into the energy and urgency of this moment, which demands a comprehensive agenda to address racial injustice and bipartisan cooperation to reach a final package."

Trump Keeps Promise to American Workers
- By Eagle Forum
Eagle Forum, the conservative grassroots organization founded by Phyllis Schlafly in 1972, commends President Trump for taking action to protect Americans and preserve American jobs through his proclamation to extend the suspension of foreign workers.
“Eagle Forum has joined with other conservative leaders to encourage state and federal officials to expand President Trump’s actions on halting visas,” said Eagle Forum President Colleen Holcomb. “This is another example of President Trump fulfilling his promise to defend the forgotten men and women whose jobs were lost or wages driven down by unsound immigration policy.”
