Life Legal Files SCOTUS Brief Demolishing Roe's Viability Standard
- By Life Legal Defense Foundation
WASHINGTON -- Life Legal filed an important amicus brief today in Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization in support of Mississippi's "Gestational Age Act," which prohibits abortion after 15 weeks. We filed the brief on behalf of Dr. Robin Pierucci, a neonatologist and bioethicist who is a nationally recognized expert in care for "micro-preemies," or very young premature babies born during the second trimester of pregnancy.
Our brief is an attack on the unworkable "viability" standard adopted by the Supreme Court in Roe v. Wade and affirmed in Planned Parenthood v. Casey, which has cost the lives of millions of babies. These cases rely on a highly subjective determination of a baby's "capability of meaningful life outside the mother's womb."

House Sacrifices Military Security in Favor of Sex Diversity
- By Eagle Forum
This week the House is set to vote on the William M. (Mac) Thornberry National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2021 (NDAA), bill number H.R. 6395.
The NDAA Reauthorization authorizes about $740.5 billion for the fiscal year 2021. The provisions in H.R. 6395 should focus on providing for military readiness, supporting our troops, and our security. Yet, these funds are being used for unsubstantial security threats, like climate change prevention. The legislation also prevents the President from withdrawing troops from Germany by requiring certain certifications and reports before he can do so. And, in an attempt to block the border wall from coming into fruition, the legislation sets a $100 million for domestic projects and $500 million for overseas projects spending cap on emergency use of military construction funding. According to an article in The Hill, “To date, Trump has taken $3.6 billion from military construction funding for the wall.”

House Set to Pass Bipartisan Bill that Creates Permanent Trust Fund for Federal Lands
- By Eagle Forum
A few weeks ago, we asked for your help in telling your Senator to vote Yes with Fixes on the Great American Outdoors Act. And, now the House is set to vote on this legislation.
For background, in 1964 Congress created the Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) to protect our federal lands and waters. Through the enactment of S. 47 or The John D. Dingell, Jr. Conservation, Management, and Recreation Act in 2019, the LWCF received permanent reauthorization.

Trump Responds with Force Against Chinese Involvement in Hong Kong
- By Eagle Forum
This past fall, protestors in Hong Kong took to the streets against the communist Chinese regime based in Beijing. The people of Hong Kong were fighting a piece of legislation that would allow China to extradite fugitives to mainland China. Their fear is that this bill would be used as an avenue for the Chinese government to take political advocates, like those who are pro-democracy, out of Hong Kong. Eventually, these protests turned into pro-democracy marches, with supporters waving the American flag, a worldwide symbol of freedom.

The Monuments Men: Trump Taps Cabinet to Guard History
- By Family Research Council
It's not easy to find a place to stash 1,600-pound statues. In Virginia, local reporters were shocked to find out that their toppled leaders had ended up at a Richmond wastewater treatment plant, covered in bright blue tarps. It was a fast trip for the soldiers, who went from lining Monument Row to sitting in dirt outside the local sewage works. Even now, no one is quite sure what to make of this marble morgue, except to wonder: who else will be next? According to the people around the president's table -- no one, if they can help it.

Ask the President to Stop the Outrageous Federal Spending
- By Eagle Forum
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has vowed to pass a fourth Coronavirus spending bill even if she has to cancel August recess to do so. This must be stopped.
The first three Coronavirus packages have added billions to the already $1.8 trillion deficit. Each bill was passed quickly, silencing the public’s input. This is the time to get ahead of another terrible bill.

Americanism vs. Marxism
- By U.S. Congressman Chip Roy (R-TX) - Eagle Forum Report
In the words of Rahm Emanuel who was President Obama’s chief of staff, “ Never allow a good crisis go to waste. It’s an opportunity to do the things you once thought were impossible.” Today, we are seeing Democrats at the local, state, and federal level heed that shocking advice.
