Letters to the Editor
- By Chay Gill - Greenville, SC
As you know we have a lot of problems in the U.S.A. and the world and I have solutions.
We need to raise the bar on the requirement to work in law enforcement; they should be Christian because to work in law enforcement should be considered a sensitive job. Please tell the lawmakers to raise the bar on this issue.

Where Is The Hope?
- By Vivian Bradburn - Union, SC
In a letter to the editor one year ago, right after President Obama’s first speech as our new president, I voiced some of my fears and some of my hopes about how he would lead the nation. As I listened to his State of the Union speech a couple of months ago I compared his highflown promises of a year ago with what he has accomplished in a year, and I say this to him.
“Mr. President, I see a year of unparallel citizen unrest, of unemployment, accelerated racism, indecisiveness, confusion and anger. You are trying to achieve the change we don’t want, but where is the hope?

Appointed Governors/Martial Law
- By Bill Ivy - John's Island, SC
The U.S. of A divided up into ten regions, having an appointed governor, holding dictorial powers, with military enforcement, under martial law. This wouldn’t be the first time in American history that such has taken place. That’s a fact. Instead of ten regions there were five, having every element as read in the first line above. The differences between the ten regions to come and the five of America’s past will be their years implicated and their technologies, with both having been against the will of the people of the times.

Tap Water Disinfectant Chloramine?
- By Michelle Anderson - Greenville, SC
Most people do not know that chloramine is the tap water disinfectant used in Greenville by Greenville Water System and in Greer by Greer Commission of Public Works. Chloramine is a combination of bleach and ammonia - two cleaners that you are told to never combine when cleaning.
My son and I have experienced burning, red, itchy skin rashes that no doctor could treat and digestive symptoms including nausea, horrible abdominal cramps, and irritable bowel symptoms. I figured out it was the water after going to chloramine.org which tells symptoms that others are having and shows example skin rashes before and after using chloraminated water. I learned that about 1,000 people in an organization called Citizens Concerned About Chloramine (CCAC) were able to prove cause and effect with chloramine. They are dramatically better after avoiding chloramine, but this takes a lot of work.

Let Us Go In Peace
- By Tom McClain - Cameron, SC
In 1860 these were the last words Senator Jefferson Davis told the congress of the United States when he gave his parting address as he referred to letting the South secede from a voluntary union of states. Alas, President Abe Lincoln would not let the 13 southern states secede in peace; because of loss of power and money the U.S. could not afford to let the south go. These are people and states Abe had control over and as an attorney and recently elected president of the Union, he invaded the South and slaughtered thousands of people for power and money.
