“Because”: A Fond Recollection
- By W.H. Lamb
Those of you who have read my articles, both in the now extinct print version of The Times Examiner (from 1999 to July of 2018), and in the new digital version (since July of 2018), know that I’m somewhat of an “eclectic” writer. I have many different interests and I enjoy writing about some of them and sharing them with you. In that regard I consider myself to be something of a “renaissance” man, one who enjoys delving into different facets of history and the human experience, into mankind’s political and social foibles and noble accomplishments, into the artistic and cultural achievements of my fellow human beings who, during their sometimes far-too-brief pilgrimage through life, brought beauty, joy, great art and music, great literature, and various forms of cultural enrichment to us, their fellow pilgrims, all of which have instilled tears of joy and happiness and even pathos into our lives as we beheld their artistries and their struggled-for accomplishments.

SALTY Sez – What’s It Called?
- By Ray Simmons
I live four or five miles from a gun store. Every time I drive by it all the parking space is filled up. Gun and ammunition sales are going crazy. And of course everyone knows the Democratic Party, and some Republicans, are working as hard as they can to rid us of our Constitutional Right to bear arms. They are playing the same game Hitler and Stalin and others like them played; first you must register the guns (learn who has them) then you take them away. All the studies I’ve heard about show that taking guns from the common people increases gun use by the criminals who rob and kill the defendless common people.

China Must Come Clean on COVID
- By Betsy McCaughey
If a plane goes down, there has to be an investigation. Otherwise, no one would feel safe flying again. But a virus from China has killed 540,000 people in our country so far -- equal to two thousand jumbo jet crashes -- and the Biden administration is doing nothing to get to the bottom of it.
Scientists worldwide are divided over whether the virus jumped naturally from the animal world to humans, or whether the virus accidentally leaked from a lab such as the Wuhan Institute of Virology, where biowarfare research is conducted.

Biden, Not Trump, Driving Border Crisis
- By Star Parker
Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas summed up our border crisis in a statement he released March 16: "We are on pace to encounter more individuals on the southwest border than we have in the last 20 years."
According to The Wall Street Journal, Border Patrol agents made about 75,000 arrests of migrants crossing illegally in January.
And, the Journal reports, "the government is seeing more children arriving each day than ever before, with an average of 523 children taken into custody by Border Patrol agents each day over the last three weeks ..."

Under God

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE – UNDER GOD
Why was “under God” added to our pledge in 1954? Do we not have the same anti-God societal conditions in 2021? Do we not have a system that is attacking us from within? Do we not have a pervasive government and secular presence (anti-God) on our shores?
Here is what the Congressional Committee said on this issue…

If H.R. 1 Becomes Law Use Nullification
- By Frank Raddish - Founder/Director Capitol Hill Independent Baptist Ministries
H.R. 1 is an unconstitutional bill that has passed the U.S. House, and is now in the Senate, that is designed to legitimize voter fraud in elections across this country. The illegals are already lining up at the southwest border wearing tee shirts that say, "Democrats let us in so that we can vote for you!" This bill eliminates all voter ID requirements, and it takes away constitutional authority from the state legislatures to set the requirements for elections. Also, it establishes universal mail-in ballots as a national standard.

Ideological Transformation of the Armed Forces
- By Mike Scruggs
Replacing Military Realism with Social Engineering
A recent news release claimed that China now has more naval ships than the United States. While this is true, the United States still has an advantage over China in global sea power. China is now the world’s leading naval ship builder, but most of the People’s Liberation Navy’s new ships are smaller coastal defense ships. Although smaller and shorter range, they are equipped with the latest technology in radar and cruise missiles. In terms of firepower as reflected in naval tonnage, the Chinese Navy has 2.0 million tons, whereas the U.S. Navy has 4.8 million tons and still has technological superiority.
