Garden Gate Rabbit Park is home sweet home to many rare and fancy breeds of rabbits. The Glenn Hayward family raises several rabbit breeds ranging in size from small Netherland Dwarf, Jersey Wooly, and Mini Rex to medium size breeds of Dutch, Holland Lop and Satin as well as the larger breeds including Beveren, Silver Fox, English Lop, and Flemish Giants. A simple love of a few rabbits became a fascinating family business for the Haywards. Their “Rabbit Park” includes generations of over 130 pedigreed award winning rabbits that travel to ARBA shows and a variety of family events.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Governor-elect Nikki Haley today announced the Executive Committee of the Gubernatorial Transition, a 14-member team that will lead her transition into office. The team includes public and private sector leaders from across South Carolina and will be chaired by Ambassador David Wilkins. Lowcountry businessman Chad Walldorf will serve as Vice-Chairman.
“The Governor-elect has assembled an impressive team of leaders with the depth and breadth of experience it’ll take to make the transition successful,” said Transition Chairman Ambassador Wilkins.

When Communism “fell” in the late 1980’s, those who were busy scheming to impose global governance on the sovereign nations had a problem. Suddenly, the only super power in the world was the United States – the only nation on Earth based on the ideals of limited government, individual liberty and free enterprise. If American bedrock ideals of freedom took hold in the emerging nations of the old Soviet Empire, global governance was impossible.
What to do? The answer was obvious. Change America. Get her to join the community of nations with a proper attitude. Force her to learn her proper place. Target: America’s attitudes, values and beliefs. And to force us to quickly question those American ideals, elements of guilt and fear would be essential.

South Carolina’s First District Congressman-elect Tim Scott was invited by the chairperson of the Congressional Black Caucus along with the new Black Republican Congressman from Florida to join the group. Tim Scott is an outstanding South Carolinian and a great American who has never been interested in using the “race card” and is highly respected by all who know him. In fact, he was first endorsed and introduced to The Times Examiner before he entered the congressional primary race by the National Commander of the Sons of Confederate Veterans.

Ruling Results from Findings in “Council Expense Fund” Case
Judge John Few ruled on February 10, 2010, that Greenville County Council illegally delegated legislative authority to its individual Council members so they could make independent expenditures from a Council appropriated annual Council district expense fund.
The complaint filed by The South Carolina Public Interest Foundation and Edward D. Sloan, Jr., cited a South Carolina Attorney General opinion dated November 13, 2003, stating that a County Council’s delegation of legislative power to an individual member was unlawful.
Wade Hampton High School Honors Veterans

Wade Hampton High School and the Air Force Junior ROTC Department honored veterans during a Veteran’s Day Ceremony November 10, 2010.
Brigadier General Lawrence W. Brock, a member of the Wade Hampton High School Class of 1976, currently serving in Afghanistan and home on R&R was the Wade Hampton High School Veteran Honoree for 2009. He introduced Colonel Francis M. “Mike” Belue, Chaplain U. S. Army (Retired) the 2010 Honoree.
Col. Belue served two tours as an enlisted man in Vietnam. After the war, he attended college and seminary and was commissioned as an Army Chaplain. Prior to his recent retirement, he served as a combat Army Chaplain in both Iraq and Afghanistan.
