Ryan Casts Doubt on ‘Bizarre’ California Elections
- By GOP Presidential
Weeks after House Republicans lost their majority, Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) on Thursday cast serious doubts about the “bizarre” election system in California, where it appears that seven GOP-held seats will flip to Democratic control.
The California election system “just defies logic to me,” Ryan said during a Washington Post event.
Statement of Secretary Perdue on Signing of USMCA
- By USDA
Washington, D.C. – U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue today issued the following statement regarding the signing of the new trade pact, the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA), replacing the outdated North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA):
“I have often said that we live in the best neighborhood on Earth – North America – and the signing of a new trade agreement with Mexico and Canada helps cement our highly integrated relationship as nations. President Trump has fulfilled a promise, which many said couldn’t be done, to renegotiate NAFTA and improve the standing of the entire American economy, including the agriculture sector.
Racism -- It's Everywhere! It's Everywhere!
- By David Limbaugh
It's sobering how much race dominates the public discourse today. But as long as we're discussing stereotypes, we should note that leftists and elites are the ones obsessed with race, not the flyover Neanderthals to whom they impute this evil. Give it a rest, eggheads.
Leftists can scarcely discuss any issue without injecting this toxicity. They imagine it everywhere -- the ubiquitous boogeyman that validates their perpetual vilification of conservatives. (Note: I considered using "white men" instead of "conservatives" in the preceding sentence but realized it would be unwise because A) as a possessor and unwitting purveyor of white privilege, I'm not allowed to opine publicly on these matters and B) though race-baiting elites pretend white privilege is the culprit, neither women nor African-Americans are exempt from the taint if they are political conservatives.)
The Boxification of God’s People
- By Ben Graydon
When Jesus told Peter, “You, Peter, are but a little pebble, and upon the bedrock foundation of Myself I will build My ecclesia,” He used a term – ecclesia – that was known in the Roman-ruled world as the institution by which the ideas and values of the Roman empire were carried to and extended throughout the world. Whenever two or more Roman citizens were gathered in one place, Roman ecclesia was present – the authority of the Roman emperor himself was there with them. So Peter knew exactly what Jesus was saying when He spoke of HIS ecclesia. And Jesus was saying that it would be His work – a work of God and not of men.
Is Putin the Provocateur in the Kerch Crisis?
- By Pat Buchanan
On departure for the G-20 gathering in Buenos Aires, President Donald Trump canceled his planned weekend meeting with Vladimir Putin, citing as his reason the Russian military's seizure and holding of three Ukrainian ships and 24 sailors.
But was Putin really the provocateur in Sunday's naval clash outside Kerch Strait, the Black Sea gateway to the Sea of Azov?
Or was the provocateur Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko?

Charleston Earned the #5, Columbia #6 and Greenville #7 as the Cheapest US Metros to have a Baby
- By Lillian K. Ansley
Charleston earned the #5, Columbia #6 and Greenville #7 as the cheapest US Metros to have a baby. As far as state rankings are concerned, South Carolina comes in at #8.
Everyone knows that having a baby is incredibly expensive, from delivery or adoption costs to outfitting a household with strollers, bottles, cribs and layettes. But even if friends and family come together to provide everything needed on day one, there are ongoing costs of raising a child. So how much should a typical couple expect to budget each month?
The Cheat Is On
- By Tony Perkins
You've got to hand it to Democrats. Instead of committing voter fraud, they've got a better idea -- making it legal! And judging by this midterm's House races, the strategy finally paid off.
In places like California, the GOP sat in stunned disbelief as their double-digit leads evaporated like a puff of smoke on election night. Seats in reliably-Republican areas like Orange County vanished in races that, days before, weren't even close. Candidates like Young Kim, one of the shoe-ins heading into Tuesday, watched Democrats chip away at her lead in a cloud of provisional ballot-counting. A week later, she lost. By that point, the questions were already swirling. What happened? And how had pollsters gotten California so wrong?

Crimes of Reconstruction
- By Michael Gaddy
"Every man should endeavor to understand the meaning of subjugation before it is too late... It means the history of this heroic struggle will be written by the enemy; that our youth will be trained by Northern schoolteachers; will learn from Northern school books their version of the war; will be impressed by the influences of history and education to regard our gallant dead as traitors, and our maimed veterans as fit objects for derision... It is said slavery is all we are fighting for, and if we give it up we give up all. Even if this were true, which we deny, slavery is not all our enemies are fighting for. It is merely the pretense to establish sectional superiority and a more centralized form of government, and to deprive us of our rights and liberties.” ~ Confederate Major General Patrick Ronayne Cleburne, May 1864 (Emphasis mine)
Trump ‘Totally’ Willing to Shut Down Government Over THIS
- By GOP Presidential
President Trump said that he would “totally be willing” to shut down the government if Congress doesn’t agree to his demand for $5 billion to build a border wall.
“People look at the border, they look at the rush to the police, they look at the rock throwers and really hurting three people, three very brave border patrol folks,” Trump told Politico in a Tuesday night Oval Office interview. “I think that it’s a tremendous issue, but much more importantly, is really needed. So we have to have border security.”
Syria's Changes in Store for Refugees
- By Tony Perkins
When Congressman Chris Smith (R-N.J.) flew to Iraq before Christmas in 2016, it didn't just change his life – it might change millions. Seeing starving families in filthy camps, right in the heart of ISIS country, shocked him to the core. Driven out of their villages if they were lucky (and hunted if they weren't), thousands of Christian refugees huddled together in their sad excuse for tents. America, Chris resolved right then and there, would act.
The Democrat Party is a monster of its own creation
- By Harlan Hill
The Democrat Party is a monster of its own creation — and it’s on the verge of ravishing our economic recovery.
The days of civil political discourse and reasoned debate about public policy are now for the history books. The Democrat Party has been hijacked by radical socialist ideologues who will do everything in their power to dethrone the Party’s moderate leaders.

When Donald Trump became president, he swore an oath to uphold the Constitution and enforce federal laws "faithfully." James Madison, who was the scrivener at the Constitutional Convention, insisted on using the word "faithfully" in the presidential oath and including the oath in the body of the Constitution because he knew that presidents would face the temptation to disregard laws they dislike.

Why Did a Minister Sit in Jail for Holding a 'God Loves You and Your Baby' Sign Outside an Abortion Clinic?
- By Christian Newswire
Walter B. Hoye peacefully offered women another option, was sent to jail for it
SAN FRANCISCO -- A soft-spoken Baptist minister was arrested in Oakland, California, in 2009 and thrown in jail for holding up a sign outside an abortion clinic that read "God loves you and your baby. Let us help you." Walter B. Hoye II sat in jail because he stood peacefully outside the Family Planning Specialists abortion clinic offering women another option. BLACK AND PRO-LIFE IN AMERICA tells Hoye's incredible story of not only sharing the love of Jesus on a sidewalk outside an abortion clinic, and then in jail itself, but how his pro-life beliefs shunned him from the black community.

I have asked others and I expect more to join them, but these are two I know are fully committed to making sure the bill is pre-filed; that helps it have the best chance of surviving, and to carrying the bill as far as they can take it. Please pray it gets enough support to pass and be implemented. Mike Burns and Bill Chumley, local SC House reps, are going to introduce the attached bill. Please help them if you are in SC, and share it widely to friends in other states as I hope other states will adopt this approach.
