INDEPENDENT CONSERVATIVE VOICE OF
UPSTATE SOUTH CAROLINA

Can you believe the gall of liberal leftists attempting to compare Obama to President Reagan? The image makers for Barack Obama continue desperately in their attempt to create a positive presidential image for a man who has proven by his official words and actions that he intends to ignore the Constitution and dismantle the Constitutional Republic that has been a key to America’s economic success.
While systematically moving the American constitutional republic toward a socialistic dictatorship over the past two years, the Obama image-makers have attempted to portray him as a second Franklin Delano Roosevelt. When that image try did not impress the American people, they tried to package and sell Obama as another Abraham Lincoln. Although there are some parallels when compared to the real Lincoln, the comparison was short-lived. Now they are trying to capitalize on the 100th anniversary of President Reagan’s birth, by describing Obama as Reaganesque.
One can draw parallels between Obama and the dark sides of both Roosevelt and Lincoln, but no such legitimate comparisons can be made with Reagan.
Reagan was a champion of truth and clarity; Obama relies on falsehoods and confusion to achieve his goals. Obama follows the instructions of Saul Alinsky and his Rules for Radicals along with advice from his mentor William Ayers as his guides for change. They advocate a big powerful central government and government solutions to virtually every problem facing man and loading the taxpayers down with bloated government programs until the system collapses with debt.
President Reagan was the opposite. He believed that the first duty of government is to protect the people, not run their lives. He worked to reduce the size of government. He believed that government “is like a baby, an alimentary canal with a big appetite at one end and no sense of responsibility at the other.” Finally, Reagan believed that “governments tend not to solve problems, only to rearrange them.”
Obama is proving Reagan right when Reagan said, “It is freedom that still hangs in the balance, and freedom is never more than one generation from extinction.” Obama is systematically chipping away at freedom of speech, religion, the right to bear arms and the right to own and control private property, through legislation and Executive Orders.
In a tribute to President Reagan, Sarah Palin said Obama and Democrats have revived the era of big government and put the United States on “the road to ruin.” She concluded that a search for the next Reagan will never happen. “He was one of a kind.”
Using his irrational “no drill” policy, President Obama is forcing the nation to become more dependent on foreign oil. Not only is this policy going to increase the prices of everything Americans buy, it is going to put thousands of oil production workers out of work and delay the recovery of the U. S. economy.
Eventually, the Obama policy on petroleum drilling will lead to inflation and devaluation of the dollar. Inflation may come sooner than expected.
President Reagan warned about the evil impact of inflation. “Inflation is as violent as a mugger, as frightening as an armed robber and as deadly as a hit man.”
President Obama is definitely no Ronald Reagan. The fact that he is trying to identify with President Reagan is an indication of the desperation of the Obama regime and their dependence on the ignorance and miseducation of Obama supporters.
