Tigerville, SC – On December 6, the T. Walter Brashier Graduate School will host a seminar to educate professionals about refined communication skills.

The Art of Professionalism seminar will last from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Dr. Tracy Kramer, Associate Dean of the NGU Graduate School of Business will lead this workshop that focuses on developing and demonstrating workplace behaviors which will lead to excellence in job performance and effective communication.

“In today’s business world, professionalism in communication, conduct, and presence will set you apart quicker than any other skill.  This workshop is designed not only to help new managers polish their professional image and gain an advantage in their careers, but also to train supervisors on how to implement this training in their workforce,” said NGU’s Director of Academic Engagement and Outreach Dr. Jill R. Rayburn.

Topics included in the seminar will be: Integrity and the consequences of integrity failures, identification of professional “gray areas,” and value-driven behaviors, drawing the line between personal and professional lives, use language to influence and persuade, personality styles and communication, dealing with conflict, and written communication practices.
