Left to Right - Jennifer Sawyer and Mosie Marlar both received the Winnie Davis Award from  Joe Payne (right), SC Commander of Military Order of Stars and Bars on Saturday, March 17 at the University of SC Library at the Spring Awards Ceremony of the SC Division MOS&B. Mrs. Marlar received hers for her work with the SCV Camp #36 and especially the Museum and Library of Confederate History in Greenville. Mrs. Sawyer received hers for her work with the SCV Camp #40 of Laurens and particularly her work on the McGowan Brigade Monument placed by Camp 40 at the Spotsylvania Battlefield in May of 2009. Mrs. Marlar is the SC Society Order of Confederate Rose Treasurer and Mrs. Sawyer is the President and Historian of the JB Kershaw Chapter United Daughters of the Confederacy in Laurens and is a member of the Captain William Farley Chapter OCR at Camp 40 in Laurens.
