Where (Only) God Knows You
- By Ben Graydon
That place in your mind that nobody else knows about – that’s where God knows you best.
Those things you think that you think nobody else would ever imagine – that’s the you – the REAL you – that God knows.
David wrote, “Lord, you know everything there is to know about me. You perceive every movement of my heart and soul, and you understand my every thought before it even enters my mind. You are so intimately aware of me, Lord. You read my heart like an open book and you know all the words I’m about to speak before I even start a sentence!” (Psalm 139:1-4, TPT)

The President Can and Should Make a Play for Hispanic Voters
- By Erick Erickson - The Resurgent
It goes against the conventional Washington and progressive wisdom that Donald Trump is a racist who hates hispanics, but I think the President should prove the media and Democrats wrong on this. Just consider one bit from this Politico story.
Democrats, already alarmed that Trump’s inroads with Venezuelans could help him peel off an otherwise-reliable Democratic voting bloc in a toss-up state, were quick to denounce Sanders’ comments.
Democrats have long presumed the President was incapable of attracting hispanic voters to his coalition and now they are worried that he is doing it. They should be worried and the GOP should proceed.

May I Quote You, General Washington?
- By Mike Scruggs
The Principled Wisdom of Our First President
George Washington was born in Virginia on February 22, 1732, and was raised on the ethical and religious principles and educational and chivalrous traditions that constituted the ideal of a Virginia gentleman. He was particularly interested in military science and leadership arts and at the age of only 22 was commissioned as a lieutenant colonel and fought in the first battles of the French and Indian War. Following that he devoted himself to agricultural pursuits and managing his properties around Mount Vernon, Virginia. During this time he served in the Virginia Colonial Legislature (House of Burgesses), where he became a critic of British Colonial policy.

Do Be Do Be Do
- By Ben Graydon
… So the song says. And see which one is dominant?
Do is in the land of command. It is avoidance of error. It is concerned with what others think. It seeks to reach heaven by works, by man’s merit. It struggles to “be” salt and light.
Be doesn’t worry about Do. It just is. It IS salt and it IS light. The salt does nothing to become salt (though one can spoil it by “doing,” making it unsavory and worthless) and the light does nothing to become light (though one can hide it by “doing,” placing it under a bushel basket so that the world can no longer see what it is). It is state of being, not action verbs.

Perfidy Is Still In Fashion
- By W.H. Lamb
Perfidy is a word that isn’t in the regular vocabulary of many people. I came across the word many years ago, the context of which now eludes me (probably when reading about some sleazy progressive politician), but it was sometime in the last century (or the “dark ages” as my grandkids like to remind me). Let’s first define the word perfidy, which comes from the Latin, “perfidia”, meaning faithlessness. The dictionaries define it as follows:
Oxford: (noun): deceitfulness, untrustworthiness;
Webster: (noun): the quality or state of being faithless or disloyal; An act or an instance of disloyalty or faithlessness or treachery.
Other definitions for “perfidy” imply a deliberate breach of faith or trust.

POTUS Shows Love Today as Movies, Prisoners, Babies and Politics 'Lit' the Wire
- By Alveda King
"Motives matter. Some agendas are indeed driven by envy and rivalry, but others serve humanity with a desire to foster godly love and good will." (Ref. Philippians 1:15)
Today is Valentine's Day. Traditionally this observance is a day for cards, candy and romance. Yet in the midst of the hoopla, babies are still dying, and many human beings in the womb and outside the womb are still victims of crimes against humanity; with abortion at the top of the list.

Faith in a Fig Leaf
- By Ben Graydon
It’s not in the Bible, yet Christian people believe that “going to” or “becoming a member of” it is something that they are supposed to do … that doing those things is part of their relationship to God in that He, somehow, requires it of them. In fact, many do so as their primary means of relating to Him. Which is weird. For going to church to do business with God is about like going to McDonalds to develop a relationship with a farmer. It is, in fact, a fig leaf.
