INDEPENDENT CONSERVATIVE VOICE OF

The movie adaptation of the book 13 Hours in Benghazi by Mitchell Zuckoff with the Annex Security Team will be released on DVD and Blu-ray Tuesday, June 7, 2013.

Three of the contract operators who responded to the September 11, 2012 attack on Benghazi, Mark “Oz” Geist, Kris “Tanto” Paronto and John “Tig” Tiegen went public and allowed their names to be used in the book and movie. Jack Silva and Dave Benton who also participated in the activities, are pseudonyms used to preserve their families’ privacy and their own. Another member of the CIA team, Tyrone “Rone” Woods died during the attack on the Annex.

Kris Paronto spoke at the Greenville County Republican Women’s Club luncheon  at the Poinsett Club on 26 March of last year. On the night before the luncheon The Times Examiner hosted a dinner in his honor with the help of friends. About 50 guests attended the event and had an opportunity to interact with one of the real heroes of Benghazi.

Kris and the others would not talk politics or discuss the role or lack of role of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton or President Obama. He said they went public with the book in order to get the truth out on what actually happened. They insist they were told to “stand down” but could not ignore pleas from fellow Americans despite orders to ignore them.

The trio of CIA contractors have been essentially banned from any future contract work with the government, at least under the current administration. A former Army Ranger, Kris worked for a decade in security for the CIA in dangerous places throughout the middle east. He is in his early forties has a wife and two children and holds a Masters Degree in Criminal Justice.

Kris has a great personality and a sense of humor that helps save him from insanity. He has a clear understanding of good and evil and saw his security job as part of a battle between good and evil.

His personality is a great asset. He is making a lot of money on tour telling the Benghazi story without politics and promoting books and the movie.

Kris said the book is as accurate as the three former fighters could make it. The movie script follows the book as closely as possible. Geist and Tiegen are less outgoing than Kris, however one of them is making commercials for the NRA.

If you did not see the movie in the theater, you may want to pick up a copy of the DVD next week.

Hillary Clinton is not mentioned in the movie, however, if enough people see the movie, she will have no credibility or political future.

Believe it or not, heroes do have heroes. Fourth District Congressman Trey Gowdy is Chris Paronto’s hero.
