Democrats Considering Abortion Provisions in Military Defense Bill
- By Eagle Forum
This past week, the Senate began committee markup of the Fiscal Year 2023 National Defense Authorization Act, or NDAA. As you may recall, the NDAA made headlines this past year for its inclusion of a provision that would draft our daughters into the Military Selective Service. While the final version of the FY 2022 NDAA did not include this provision, it certainly was a hard-fought win.
The NDAA has become a bill that is used as a placeholder for items on the Leftist wish list, rather than maintaining and boosting our national defense. The legislation is often littered with woke policy measures, like diversity and inclusion training and amnesty measures for illegal immigrants.

Abortion Activists Promise 'Increasingly Drastic Measures' Against Pro-life Americans
- By Ben Johnson - The Washington Stand
As the number of attacks on pro-life groups and individuals ticked up to 51 this week, including a Republican state representative and a church, the group behind many such assaults promises to take “increasingly drastic measures” which are not “so easily cleaned up as fire and graffiti.”
The newest disturbances add to the growing list of abortion activists’ acts of vandalism, theft, and property damage since the leak of the Supreme Court’s Dobbs decision last month.
At 4:05 a.m. Monday, two individuals smashed the windows and threw a lit flare into the office of Washington State Rep. Andy Barkis, a pro-life Republican who introduced a bill to prohibit the abortion of children with Down syndrome. The flare landed on a masonry floor, preventing more extensive damage. Some police have said the failed arson attempt against the building, where the House Republican Organizational Committee keeps its offices, was intended as a distraction for a subsequent robbery. But some legislatorsquestion the event, as it came during radical abortion activists’ campaign of terror, which vandalized four churches in Olympia late last month.

Compromise Bill Reflects SCPC Poll Results on Tax Relief
- By Rick Brundrett - The Nerve
Just days before a legislative conference committee approved a compromise tax-cut bill, South Carolinians expressed strong support for tax relief in a poll released by the South Carolina Policy Council – The Nerve’s parent organization.
Contacted last week by The Nerve before the deal was announced, several senators who co-sponsored the original bill were asked about their views on the poll results and the legislation. A Democratic senator recommended, for example, that part of the state’s massive surplus be used to cut corporate income taxes to attract companies to small counties that have lost population.

Black Conservative Summit 2022 Kicks Off Registration on Juneteenth, Sounds Alarm Ahead of 'Critical' Midterm Elections
- By Freedom's Journal Institute
Black conservatives put 'responsible government, strong faith and family values' in forefront as they confront failing institutions and 'woke' ideology
CHICAGO -- Leading Black conservatives will convene this September to galvanize their movement's base around a platform – rooted in "responsible government, individual liberty and fidelity, strong family values, and economic empowerment" called R.I.S.E. Principles – as an ever-divided America heads into midterm elections with looming threats and consequences from our failed social and political institutions.
The Black Conservative Summit 2022 (BCS) takes place as Black conservatives, along with "all freedom-loving Americans," grapple with what they see as a "woke takeover"-- an extreme liberal agenda that includes promoting unrestricted abortion, gender fluidity, Critical Race Theory (CRT) and movements like Black Lives Matter. Abortion Activists Waging 'A Kind of War on Advocates for Life': Congressman
- By Ben Johnson - The Washington Stand
Abortion activists have committed 48 acts of violence or vandalism against churches, pro-life organizations, or individuals in the last 42 days — something that amounts to “a kind of war” against pro-life Americans, according to a Republican congressman.
Politically-motivated criminals targeted churches 20 times, pro-life women’s centers 23 times, and pro-life students or individuals five times since May 2, when someone leaked a Supreme Court opinion indicating that justices plan to overturn Roe v. Wade leaked to the media. As of this writing, the most recent attack came last Saturday, when someone set fire to a pregnancy resource center in Gresham, Oregon. “From initial investigations by [p]olice and [f]ire authorities, it appears an incendiary device was thrown through a window,” the group reported.
