House Democrats are asking for COVID relief in the trillions. According to an article in Politico, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer “offered a secret proposal to McConnell and House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy on Monday that sources said totaled around $1.3 trillion.” Washington Democrats must really believe that money grows on trees.

Van Riper to Bring December Undergraduate Commencement Address

North Greenville University (NGU) has announced that its Consultant for Public Affairs Lisa Van Riper, will be the December undergraduate commencement speaker on Friday, Dec. 11 at 6 p.m. in Turner Chapel on the NGU campus.
Despite the emotionally-paralyzing pandemic this past year, NGU remains strong and experienced a positive fall semester. The COVID-19 protocols released by the University for the fall semester will also guide the commencement experience. It remains the University’s highest priority to provide as safe an environment as possible to our community and guests.

BJU Invites Community to Drive-Thru Christmas Light Display

Bob Jones University invites the Greenville community to drive through front campus for the annual display of Christmas lights from Dec. 4, 2020 - Jan. 4, 2021.
“While we are unable to host our highly anticipated Christmas Celebration events for the public, the community is welcome to enjoy our Christmas light display featuring the illuminated Nativity scene crafted by BJU graduate and local sculptor Doug Young,” said BJU President Steve Pettit. “We trust it will serve as a reminder of Christ’s birth and the true meaning for the season.”
The display can be viewed from dusk until dawn by entering the Wade Hampton Boulevard entrance.

Bad Bridges Still Not Fixed With Gas-Tax-Hike Money

Despite lawmakers’ promises more than three years ago that part of the state gas tax hike would be used to fix South Carolina’s bad bridges, only one bridge project has been completed with that money, newly released records show.
The Nerve’s review of S.C. Department of Transportation records found that through Oct. 31, the department had identified 16 bridge projects in nine counties totaling $18 million, though only one of those projects – located in Charleston County – was listed as finished.

Christian Conservatives Shatter Turnout Records for Trump
