The South Carolina Black Conservative Movement Anti-Illegal Immigration Rally

With temperatures in the 90’s, the weather was not the only heat of the day. As the crowd came together at the Statehouse in Columbia for the Anti-Illegal Immigration Rally organized by The Black Conservative Movement, the heat was placed on President Obama and the liberals in Congress and the State Legislature. Rowena Booker, the Founder and President of The Black Conservative Movement, was the last speaker of the event. Mrs. Booker said “We have stepped off the plantation and there are many black conservatives that are afraid to step off the plantation.”

More Than 200 Military Physicians Sign Letter to Senators
The 16,000 member Christian Medical Association has sent a letter to US Senators signed by more than 200 military physicians who have served U. S. Soldiers asking them to vote against the National Defense Authorization Act for 2011. The act contains
an amendment by Sen. Roland Burris that would remove restrictions on performing abortions in military facilities.

For Voting to Approve Elena Kagan’s Nomination out of the Judiciary Committee
Sixteen Conservative and Tea Party groups in South Carolina have signed a censure of Senator Lindsey Graham for voting to approve Elena Kagan’s nomination out of the Judiciary Committee and to the Senate floor for a full vote.
The censure was initiated by the Laurens County Tea Party.
GOP Organizing New Precincts

Jan Williams, Third Vice Chairman of the Greenville County Republican Party, announced Monday night plans for organizing for the party all 12 of the new precincts created recently in Greenville County by the State. Williams said a meeting is scheduled for August 28 from 12 Noon until 4:30 at the Greenville County Library downtown to elect a president, executive committeeman and other officers to represent the GOP in each of the newly created precincts.
