INDEPENDENT CONSERVATIVE VOICE OF UPSTATE SOUTH CAROLINA

INDEPENDENT CONSERVATIVE VOICE OF
UPSTATE SOUTH CAROLINA

This is a terrible, terrible deal.

The White House Counsel, behind the President’s back, is trying to cut a deal that would put more progressives on the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, presuming Democrats would then ease up on their objections to other judicial nominations.

After what happened to Brett Kavanaugh, it is insane that the White House would even consider working with Dianne Feinstein and Kamala Harris to put progressives on the federal bench.

Feinstein and Harris have been leading the Senate Democrats in attacks on the Christian faith of judges. They’ve led the Senate on anti-Christian bigotry. It is absolutely offensive that the new White House counsel would cut a deal with them after how they have treated the President’s nominees and Christians in general.

Ms. Feinstein and the White House counsel’s office have been pen pals on this for some time. In a November letter to new White House counsel Pat Cipollone, Ms. Feinstein and Ms. Harris requested “that the White House work with us to reach an agreement on a consensus package of nominees.” The Democrats want to pick one name from the White House list, one from their own, and a third consensus nominee.

Mr. President, the system you have in place has been working fine and it is foolish of the new White House Counsel to presume a future Democratic President would be so gracious to the GOP. They won’t. That, after all, is the party that got rid of the judicial filibuster to stack the bench with progressives.

There should be no deal. Mr. President, you probably do not even know the White House Counsel is doing this. You must intervene and stop this. You have some super solid nominees to the Ninth Circuit. Put them back on the nominations list and end this madness, please.
