The American Republic and the American Empire
- By Mike Scruggs
The Empire Advances by Marginalizing the Truth
The Constitutional American Republic is still strong, and many still stand strong in their faith, but a domestic secular drive to become an American Empire has become politically, economically, and culturally dominant and is straining every nerve to maintain its dominance. As usual, power tends to corrupt and creates false narratives to sustain its power. The American Empire is advancing by marginalizing fundamental reality and truth. This pertains to many aspects of American life and culture but also extends to a morally bent foreign policy.

“Imagine A Boot Stamping On A Human Face, Forever”
- By W.H. Lamb
“This is the direction the world is going in at the present time. In our world there will be no emotions, except fear, rage, triumph, and self abasement. The sex instinct will be eradicated…. There will be no loyalty except loyalty to the party. But always there will be the intoxication of power. Always at every moment there will be the thrill of victory, the sensation of trampling on an enemy who is helpless.
“If you want a picture of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face forever. The moral to be drawn from this dangerous nightmare situation is a simple one. DON’T LET IT HAPPEN! It depends on YOU.”
Eric Blair (1903-1950). Better known by his “pen name” of GEORGE ORWELL.

The Case for Ron DeSantis
- By Josh Hammer
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis' much-anticipated 2024 presidential campaign is finally here. DeSantis is, by any empirical metric or otherwise reasonable estimation, the only person with a viable chance of defeating former President Donald Trump for the Republican presidential nomination. What follows is a straightforward affirmative case for DeSantis' candidacy, written from the perspective of someone who moved to the Sunshine State during the COVID-19 pandemic due in no small part to his courage, independent judgment and dynamic leadership during that most woeful chapter of recent American history.

Why Liberals Hate Christian Russia
- By Winston McCuen - South Carolina
A recent interview by Mike Krupa of Ambassador Chas Freeman and Colonel Douglas MacGregor showed these two masters in their respective fields — diplomacy and military science — touching on and striving to answer a deep question that only true philosophy can answer in full: In the Ukraine War, why are America's current political leaders fundamentally averse and opposed to negotiating with Russia to end the murderous conflict?
The answer to this question is not simple stupidity or simple ignorance of history or even simple failure by American leadership to recognize and foresee the inherent danger of escalatory warfare — by proxy or directly -- between nuclear powers.

A Symptom of Urban Crime's Toll on College Students
- By Armstrong Williams
In recent years, there has been a surge in violent crime in our nation's capital, and unfortunately, our college students have not been spared. This issue has become symptomatic of a larger problem that plagues urban cities across the nation, where college students are being robbed and carjacked, all at gunpoint. As these young adults work to educate themselves and become productive citizens, they are faced with a harrowing reality: Crime can find them even in the hallowed halls of academia. Washington, D.C., the city that represents our nation's values and aspirations, has become a chilling example of the challenges these students face.

Lunar Recession and the Age of the Earth Part 1
- By Charles Creager, Jr.
One area of Geophysics that gets little attention for its degree of importance is the recession of the moon. Yes, the moon is slowly moving farther away and slowing the Earth’s rotation in the process. This was first confirmed following the Apollo moon landings by bouncing a laser off reflectors left behind by astronauts. The reflectors were designed to accurately measure the Earth-Moon distance. The measurements showed that the moon is getting further away at a rate of 1.5 inches or 3.82 cm per year. Furthermore, a day is getting longer by 1.7 milliseconds per day per century. Both effects are a result of tidal forces between them. These same forces are responsible for the high and low tides experienced twice a day.

Surprise: Debt Conversation Brings More Pointless 'Tax-the-Rich' Talk
- By Veronique de Rugy
Whenever we have a national conversation about government debt, Democrats invariably respond that spending is not the reason the debt is now nearly equal to our national GDP. The real cause of our indebtedness, they inform us, is that taxes aren't high enough and the rich don't pay their fair share. From increasing the marginal tax rate to more than 70% for higher-income earners, to taxing 100% of income above $1 billion, to the president's recent debt-ceiling plan, Democrats overflow with ideas about how to tax us more.
