Stay out of Syria!

An attack on a sovereign nation by another nation is an act of war. That is pure and simple. War results from a failure of diplomacy by national executives. The purpose of warfare is to “destroy the enemy and his will to fight.” The only sane outcome of war is “a military victory.” If that is not the objective, stay out! Don’t sacrifice American troops or precious resources to protect political egos and pride or credibility.
About Face, Retreat, Find Scapegoat

Much of the nation acted surprised Saturday when President Obama “chickened” out on his “red line” threat to take action against Syria for using nerve gas on Syrian citizens. After his “about face” announcement, Obama retreated to safety of the golf course with “uncle Joe” and pitched the “hot potato” of dealing with his “red line” threat to an out of session Congress that won’t return to Washington until September 9th. It is not at all clear what action Congress will take. Regardless, it was a brilliant political move and escape strategy by an administration and president with a schizophrenic foreign policy that has painted itself in a corner with words that they can’t back up with deeds.
Betrayed by “French” Republicans

Best-selling author and syndicated radio host Mark Levin recently coined the phrase “French Republicans” to describe those Republican leaders at the RNC, in Congress and state legislatures who are anxious to surrender at the first sign of opposition. Their only commitment is to use and abuse their conservative base that they take for granted and without which they would win no national elections and achieve virtually nothing worthwhile.
A revealing statement by a federal judge last Wednesday in a Spartanburg Federal Courtroom exposed the devious work of “French” Republicans in South Carolina. Unfortunately, local citizens who depend on the liberal media for their local, state and national news reports know nothing about this exposure of South Carolina Republican Party officials.
White Guilt, Voter Apathy and Ignorance

The lack of interest in government by many Americans is appalling and may ultimately result in the collapse of our society and put us on the same economic level as India and Egypt. Sadly, an important segment of our society that was once the backbone of our republic is now suffering from white guilt, ignorance and voter apathy.
If you want to become depressed, just ask the next ten people you meet on the street, in a business, or in your church congregation a few questions about their government at the federal, state or local level. Unless the individuals are Times Examiner readers, WORD radio or FOX news listeners and viewers, they will be ignorant of current government related events, severely misinformed or totally disinterested. The largest group seems to be the disinterested; who by choice are both ignorant and misinformed. They were a deciding factor in electing Barack Obama to a second term because they stayed home on Election Day.
