Scared Americans

Americans are scared. They are afraid of their government and they don’t know what to do. They have reason for fear, because the current regime in Washington, D.C., is abusing it’s power and using government agencies to openly reward its friends and punish its enemies.
A grass roots movement that spontaneously began in opposition to growth of government and taxes during the Bush Administration and had a role in electing a Republican majority in the US House of Representatives in 2010 was targeted by the Internal Revenue Service. The IRS, using intimidation during the 2012 Presidential Election, rendered many Tea Party organizations politically ineffective.
Robert Gates, the Washington Chameleon

Little lizards in tropical areas of the Pacific change color to blend in with their environment. Robert Gates, Washington insider, and former Secretary of Defense under both Presidents Bush and Obama, was a little man who took on many characteristics of the lizard that changed colors, except he did not “crawl on his belly like a reptile.”
Gates allegedly lied for Bush and lied even more for Obama. The Secretary of Defense is the only person between the Commander-in-Chief and the Joint Chiefs of Staff who has the authority to protect the military from illegal, unwise, and unconstitutional orders. Gates apparently did nothing to protect the military from unsound decisions by President Obama while he had the responsibility to do so, but now, from the safety of academia, and it is too late to make a difference; he is critical of his former boss.

Allowing Barack Obama to control both houses of congress with two years unlimited power to dismantle everything good about our nation is unthinkable. If the republic is to survive, Republicans must retain control of the House and gain control of the Senate. Only then can the reckless but calculated disregard for the Constitution and ruthless abuse of the God-given rights of American citizens be constrained.
Replacing liberal Democrats with the same ilk simply because they have an “R” behind their name would be even worse than keeping the current crop of Democrats in office. The “R” has become virtually meaningless in other parts of the country and even in South Carolina where, by law, Democrats may participate in Republican primaries and help select Republican candidates to participate in General Elections. Some lawmakers with an “R” behind their name support this insane law.
Facing the Challenges of a New Year

The year 2013 has been a virtual nightmare for many Americans. Most Americans are seeing their standard of living shrink and the prospects of a dismal uncertain future. The “Affordable Health Care Act” is destroying the best health care system the world has known and there seems to be no real will to reverse it.
Military families are being torn apart by frequent combat tours and social experiments imposed by the current administration that does not understand nor do they care about the men and women who defend the nation with their lives.
