INDEPENDENT CONSERVATIVE VOICE OF
UPSTATE SOUTH CAROLINA

The American Board of Internal Medicine revoked doctors’ certifications for refusing to practice “consensus medicine” — to save their patients.

The ABIM Will Revoke my Certification

Before you read this essay, please read my previous Substack post on the unconscionable action by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) to strip two lifesaving physicians of their board certifications.

The cartoon above may seem lighthearted, but there’s really nothing amusing about it. The cartoon’s caption conveys the truth of just how completely the 4-year campaign of media censorship, deeply biased and contrived medical “studies”, and shockingly compromised medical associations, medical schools, government agencies, Big Pharma, tech companies, the media and others have placed patients in harm’s way.

If you’re a patient, you’re in the bullseye.

Consider the poor patient sitting on the exam table in the cartoon. (I’ve named him Hugh Manity.) He represents hundreds of thousands of patients (of which you may be one…though you may not know it….yet) who were given “therapeutic treatments” for an illness, condition or even a life-threatening disease that were not optimal —or even came close to what the provider thought was best—for their medical needs.

Now why would that be? Physicians have taken an oath to “first do no harm.” But isn’t recommending sub-optimal (or even harmful, i.e. Remdesivir) treatments for patients a violation of that oath? It sure seems like it to me. But yet, that’s what’s happening. In every city and state in the nation and beyond.

We can just sit back and say, “Oh, that’s just how it is.” Or, in the alternative, we can do something. I propose we do the latter. (I’ll present an idea for your consideration in just a moment.)

By way of example, consider the following:

During COVID, thousands of physicians in the U.S. and around the world who work “in the system” were directed by their overlords (hospitals, medical centers, group practices, etc.) NOT to treat their COVID patients with what science showed worked best and produced the most positive patient outcomes. So…no ivermectin, no hydroxychloroquine, and no steroids for critical disease. All globally available, cheap, off-patent, FDA-approved drugs.

In fact, the overlords and their puppet masters—Big Pharma, Big Tech, major media, corporate interests, medical journals, and government agencies huddled to be certain that the COVID vaccine$ had an unobstructed glide path to $ucce$$. Let nothing — but nothing — stand in their way. Not even science itself. Not even the lives of patients that hung in the balance. Nothing.

What had to be done to accomplish that?

Well, first, they had to set the table for serving up a toxic dish they called medical consensus—an inflexible, formulaic, “one-size-fits-all” way of treating patients. (Because every patient is exactly the same as all the others, right? All roads on the way to medical consensus lead to humanitarian disaster.)

The ABIM would champion the publication of designed-to-fail medical studies (page 11 and page 20 in link) that showed the “dangers” of a potential medicine, say…ivermectin—long known to be safer than an aspirin.

Then, they had to vilify ivermectin and other repurposed medicines (falsely) in the media to keep up the pressure. They needed to claim (falsely) that those who imparted the science that demonstrated the safety and efficacy of these medicines were purveyors of misinformation.

Federal agencies were in on it too…in a big, big way. The FDA called ivermectin a “horse dewormer”…and worse. The NIH warned the public that it did not recommend its use. Dr. Anthony Fauci kept asking for “the science” that proved ivermectin worked. It was there. But he never looked.

But for the cabal, the cherry on top — that which would deliver and perhaps guarantee full physician compliance — was its ability to enlist one of its special forces units to punish physicians for defying the “company.” For going off the medical consensus script. The nation’s medical boards were summoned to begin revoking the board certifications of rebel doctors—those they lyingly called “misinformation-ists.” Hit ‘em hard with a towering blow capable of paralyzing their livelihoods.

This is exactly what the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) did to Dr. Paul Marik and Dr. Pierre Kory this summer…and what they will do to potentially thousands of other physicians who hold ABIM certificates. Those docs with the audacity to treat their patients according to what’s best for their well-being — or their survival— should really try to hang those ABIM certificates on their office walls with easily removable adhesives.

The ABIM chose to revoke the board certifications of these two highly published physician-scholars who led the fight for the use of ivermectin and repurposed drugs for COVID. The widespread news coverage of their action to punish these lifesaving doctors is precisely the coveted prize the “company” sought. Hold up these doctors (who have earned a fair degree of celebrity over the past four years for their courage during COVID as co-founders of the FLCCC) and wave the notices of their revoked certifications as a cautionary tale to any other doctor even thinking about going rogue and treating their patients off script.

I know of little that is more reprehensible than this—kidnapping and holding hostage the practice of medicine to the ultimate detriment of patients.

There are hundreds of thousands of people who lost their lives to this greed; to this evil. This cannot be tolerated. This cannot stand.

WHAT YOU CAN DO:

  • Contact your elected officials in Washington. Tell them you’re a dear friend of Hugh Manity and DEMAND that Congress hold hearings and mount an investigation of the ABIM and their unconscionable action against doctors who refuse practice consensus medicine—but prefer instead to treat their patients as the individuals they are with very unique, individual medical needs.

  • Post the messages you send to your elected officials in the comments below. This will encourage others to make their voices heard.

  • Share this essay and the cartoon of Hugh Manatee with everyone you can and enlist them in the fight. Because this is a fight for the future of healthcare. That means it is a fight for life—yours, mine, everyone’s.

Dr. Paul Marik gets the last word here:

“True progress in medicine depends on the free exchange of ideas and the courage to challenge established norms. Without open scientific debate, we risk losing the opportunity to discover better treatments, such as proven repurposed drugs for new viruses, and to provide the best patient care and save lives. It’s essential that we continue to discuss and debate all perspectives if we are to uphold the integrity of our profession.”
