Pistol Packing Patriots

What we need in our country are guns, guns, and more guns.
The Second Amendment states "A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed."
The greatest fear of any Marxist totalitarian government is gun toting citizens. This country was not founded, conquered and settled by hippies giving the peace sign to defeat the Indians, French troops, and English soldiers, but patriotic and rugged farmers and frontiersman opened America to be settled with an axe to clear the land and a gun to protect what they had built. During this time of American history sons, daughters, and mothers were taught to shoot a gun by the fathers in order to protect and provide for the household. This is an excellent example for fathers to follow today. After America gained a toehold on the Eastern part of this country the Westward expansion would have never taken place without "the right of the people to keep and bear arms."

Charles (Charlie) Waller, “The Grand Ole Gospel Man”
- By Keith Crowe
When I began to write “The Gospel Music Corner,” I said that not only would the feature be about groups and artists but also about folks who had made an impact on the gospel music industry. This week’s feature is without question about one person who has impacted the gospel music industry nationwide, as well as the upstate, as much if not more than any other person.
This person is Charles (Charlie) Waller, “The Grand Ole Gospel Man.” Charlie is one of the more colorful people in Southern Gospel Music. He loves traditional Southern Gospel Music and works tirelessly to promote and preserve it. Charlie was born in 1948 (a very good year) in Waynesboro, Mississippi. Today he divides his time between Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, and Georgia.

Janet Paschal
- By Keith Crowe
This week’s article is about a very talented lady, Janet Paschal. Janet recalls flipping through one of her old diaries her mother found in the attic. “Page after page said, ‘Nothing happened today,’ ‘Nothing happened today,’” she says.
As she got older, things began to happen. As they did, she recorded them in her journal. Grammy and Dove award nominations as well as appearances with Billy Graham and President Bush. Touring with Bill and Gloria Gaither. Those journal entries have helped her gain perspective on life, they’ve become words for songs, and now they are the basis for her first book, “The Good Road.”

Obama Foreign Policy

Repeating the Mistakes of History
Both Presidents Lyndon Johnson and Richard Nixon thought that the biggest mistake of the Vietnam War was President Kennedy’s involvement in the overthrow of South Vietnamese President Ngo Dinh Diem in November 1963. Diem became the first president of South Vietnam in 1955 following the partition of Vietnam into a Communist North Vietnam and the Republic of (South) Vietnam after the French withdrawal from Indochina in 1954.

Throw Out Obamacare with Obama
- By Mike Scruggs
“Every generation needs a new revolution.” – Thomas Jefferson
It should be obvious to most thinking Americans that we have a lawless President. He cares no more for the Constitution, justice, or truth than a cigarette butt. He governs by unprincipled political expediency. He is by far the most dangerous radical ever to occupy the White House, and if we do not throw him out of the White House in November, freedom will have seen its last hours by 2016. The long and stealthy march of cultural Marxism will have triumphed in political despotism. The American dream will be a totalitarian nightmare.

Square Parsons
- By Keith Crowe
This week I am featuring one of the true gentlemen in Southern Gospel Music. This artist is none other than Squire Parsons. Squire is from a little town in West Virginia called Newton, which is about fifty miles from Charleston. He stated that his farther was active in the music program of his local church and also was part of a local quartet. Other members of Squire’s family were also active in music in one way or the other in the different churches located in the area.

The Obama Justice Department Takes Another Stand for Voter Fraud
- By Dr. Tony Beam
If you are a science fiction fan you know that a popular story line in science fiction stories is the alternative universe theory. From Star Trek to Lord of the Rings fiction writers have advanced the idea that there are multiple alternative universes in various time frames that allow for all sorts of fantastic storylines and otherwise implausible and illogical outcomes. In Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, Peregrin Took (Pippin) finds the allure of Saruman’s crystal (palantir) to be irresistible. When he takes it from Gandalf he is treated to a vision of what Middle Earth will be like if Sauron’s forces are successful. It is an alternative universe that happily for the Hobbits never comes to pass. In Star Trek The Next Generation it seems the crew of the Enterprise is always messing with the “space/time continuum” creating all kinds of rifts in time that allow those pesky alternative universes to pop up.
